It seems like all bubble shooter games are the same; not this one! Try it—it’s fun and always free.
The engine that Boy Howdy TechLLC developed is SO different. Instead of just massing large quantities of bubbles, it takes thought. It’s still relaxing enough that I use it at night to chill.
They have the best customer support also! A phone update caused me to lose my levels. I contacted BoyHowdy and Julie, one of the developers, sent me a wonderful email on how to reset it after I sent her screenshots of the problem. I mean right away! I was pleasantly surprised, thank you Julie!!
I have several other of their games and they’re all just as fun. :-) Lyn

Dementia

My father in law is in the middle stages of dementia. He would stare at the floor for hours with no joy in his life. I was playing this game and decided to show it to him. He is not a master player as the game is more challenging than that. But he gets great enjoyment out of lining up the colored bubbles and seeing them drop off. Each person can play this game for different reasons.

Good game, but needs game play explained

I really like Boy Howdy games & this game is no exception. I love that it’s free, no annoying ads or videos. It’s a strategy game, not one where you try to blast away and hit things.

That being said, I only gave it 4 stars because there is absolutely no explanation of game play and seemingly no rhyme or reason to take out multiple bubbles at once. Sometimes the third bubble will take out everything below it—and sometimes not. Sometimes you can bounce a bubble off the side—and sometimes it gets hung up on another bubble.

I learned by accident that you can either touch where you want the bubble to go or you can aim the cannon’s ray and release, which is more tedious, but more exact. That would be helpful to explain in How to Play.

Sometimes certain colors seem more “powerful,” but other times they don’t. Please give us a bit more guidance because strategy is half the fun!

Howdy! You can find brief instructions by tapping Menu/How To Play within the game. In Bubble Jewels you remove bubbles by matching three of more of the same color. All bubbles that are only hanging from a group that falls will also fall. If they are still connected to any bubbles above them, they will not fall.
