Bud is a visual diary of your plants life. Growers have kept journals for years to track their plants health and development. The information derived from monitoring a plants life cycle has helped increase yield and potency over time. Up until now most growers have used a variety of tools to track this information, excel sheets, word documents, photo galleries, and good old pen and paper. Bud aims to put this all in one place and give growers an organized way to track grows.

Growing is often a solitary activity and for those who want to keep it this way bud allows users to keep all their journals private. But for those who like to share, get feedback, discuss strains, talk techniques, and ask advice, bud offers a way for users to easily share their journals with the community. Public journals can be seen by all, and users can follow individual grows or other users to keep up to date with their latest updates. Privacy is important to growers so all images are stripped of meta data before being stored and shared.

Bud’s aim is to provide a product people like to use, so feedback is encouraged, happy growing.

Such a great app

Very clean and intentional design. It is a little laggy, but app development is hard and this app is free so whatever. It is definitely the best of its kind. I personally don’t use it for ‘grows’, just my regular boring plants, but I have showed it to a few friends who grow and they are obsessed. The social aspect of seeing other people’s grows is super nifty. Hats off to the creators and developers. 10 outta 10 would recommend.

It’s good but can be great

I’ve been using this app for almost two years to track the progress of my brows. The thing that bothers me the most is that i cant ‘finish’ or close a journal. You should be able to do that and have it for reference later. Also it’s really a pain to take multiple pictures. They did make it a little bit easier but you still have to take one then comment then come back to it after. And it’s honestly really confusing to tell weather the information and pictures belong to one grow or the one below it. And last thing is when I‘m making a journal entry why does it ask me what day of the grow it is? I depend on this app to tell me that!!! It should clearly state the day and the week when making or looking at a journal entry. But thank u for making a free all like this that is so useful.

Hey I will look into adding a finish button, and make the date more clear from the start date, it just auto does the current day right now. You can add more photos by long pressing the currently selected ones, but past the first it’s just from your camera roll, I can look into adding more options to take them at that time too.

Great app to track your grows

I think there’s definitely room for improvement but it does a good job at what it does. Allows notes on each update and multiple pictures. I wish I could label each sub picture so people know what each is. I grow 4 at a time and don’t feel like making 4 different grow series as all 4 share the same nutrients and time schedule. But for what it’s worth, it’s the best I’ve found thus far. I like to browse other people’s grows, it’s fun to see everyone’s grows and you can see who’s new to growing and who’s just starting. I think they should have categories for the types of grows. Hydro types, soil types, indoor, and outdoors. Would make for a great resource... maybe even a chat area. Blah, it is what it is.

Good app!
