Simple and beautiful
This app provides you with as few or as many reflections as you would like. The backgrounds are beautiful. If you want to send them to your daughter or whomever you can take a screen capture by simultaneously clicking the power and home button on your phone. Then the picture will be in your photos. If the ads bother you you can buy the paid version. Highly recommend.
Helpful but not actual Buddha quotes
While I love this app for its positive qualities, as a scholar of the Buddhist cannon (the nikayas) it is hard to ignore the fact that many of these quotes are not actually a part of the Buddhist religion, and have no actual root in the cannon of Buddhist scripture. Nourishment for the Soul
This is an excellent App and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in finding new ways to cope with the stresses of life and in the achievement of spiritual enlightenment through discipline of the mind. Thoughts, words and actions follow the mind, which is why this App can be so valuable in terms of everyday use. It also provides a window into the heart, mind and soul of The Buddha, himself.
