Budget made easy
We use this app to keep track of our budget and spending. Think the “envelope system” but through the app. Keep it simple is the way to go. Anyway for this purpose the app is perfect . They also listen to user requests and have been slowly adding features. For example- they recently added a “transfer” button due to popular demand so kudos for them for listening to the user base via the bug tracker in the app. If you are looking for an easy way to track spending really doesn’t get any better then this
Weekly budgeting is broken
If we use the monthly budget, the expenses show up in the correct month. If we use the weekly budget, when reviewing the budget even though the screen shows the week names, it’s really showing you the monthly spend. Create a new wallet. Enter one transaction for two months ago, one for last month, and one for the current month. Set a weekly budget, and then go to review spend versus the budget. The current week will be showing you the current month’s spend, the previous week will be showing you the total previous month’s spend, and two weeks ago will be showing you the total spend from two months ago.
If you’ll update the app, I’ll gladly revise this review, because otherwise it’s a great app and exactly what I was looking for!
NO bank sync feature like advertised
I looked over multiple expense apps and chose this one since it listed a bank sync feature for US/Canada and looked easy to use. After looking around for 30 minutes there was no bank sync available and when I inquired with support it took them 10 messages and several days to finally tell me it’s not working and they are unsure if/when it will. (Support initially didn’t know they had that feature so I had to explain with screenshots of the App Store and then developers confirmed). I waited a bit to see if the new updates would help but unfortunately no.
Although the app was otherwise great and easy to use, this app doesn’t function for me like I need and I will look for another app.
