Really works

Dovly is a great app so far. It’s straightforward explanation of it services and accuracy is spot on. I’ve a couple things completely removed from my report and also I’ve had other accounts updated and verified as accurate afterwards. I tried the free version of the services so I could try it out and make sure it actually works and wanted to see the difference in the free version compared to the paid version I tried the free version for approximately 4months now I’d say it’s actually alright and worth downloading it. It works, it stays updated. Tomorrow I will do the premium or paid version of the services and see what the major differences are.

Didn’t work as promised

It only took one month to see how ineffective this app is. I tried over and over again to enroll in the credit support they kept telling me I was eligible for, only to get a prompt saying I was already enrolled. Obviously there was some kind of glitch, but chat couldn’t address a detailed problem like that and there was no number to call for support or customer service. Then Dovly said they disputed a particular error on my credit report, but when I contacted Transunion about it, their rep said they had no dispute from Dovly. The last straw was Dovly’s emails to me about getting results for disputes, which turned out to be things I’d corrected on my own. I tried this app because the reviews were so positive, but it was basically a waste of $20. The only changes that occurred were the ones I did myself, which cost me absolutely nothing. Use something else more effective. That’s what I plan to do. My experience with this app showed me that the only thing it can really do is monitor a user’s credit. It accomplished nothing else and I couldn’t even contact Dovly to resolve any errors that might be causing the app’s poor performance.

Very misleading. Careful you really understand what this app is/does.

What Dovly (through CreditStrong) is offering isn’t a credit card with a $2,000 limit that you can spend. Instead, it’s an installment credit-building loan. Here’s how it works:
• They create a loan account in your name for $2,000 (or more).
• But you don’t actually receive the money—it’s held in a locked savings account.
• You make monthly payments (e.g., $30) on this “loan,” which are reported to the credit bureaus as on-time payments, helping build your credit score.
• After the loan term (typically 1-2 years), the money becomes yours—but only after you’ve fully paid it off.
• This helps your credit by adding positive payment history and diversifying your credit mix, but it won’t give you immediate spending power like a credit card.

If you’re looking for a credit card you can actually use, this wouldn’t be the best option. Instead, you’d be better off getting a secured credit card, where you put down a refundable deposit (e.g., $200-$500), which becomes your credit limit. That way, you can spend, pay off, and actually use the credit while building your score.

Dovly’s offer isn’t necessarily a scam, but it’s definitely a misleading marketing tactic. They make it sound like you’re getting an instant $2,000 limit to spend, but in reality, it’s just a credit-building loan that you’re paying into, not borrowing from.
