Amazing app!

I’ve amended my review. They updated the app and added the missing features. I’m very impressed! My old review is below:

The most important info I want to see is hidden behind menus. I’d like if the total tenant balance due was front and center when the app opens as well as the amount that has been collected so far. Also list the number of tenants that have paid vs the total. It would be far more useful with these features. It wouldn’t be so bad if the site was responsive so at least I could use it on my phone instead of this app but it isn’t currently. It’s a real shame because the tenant app is quality from what I can tell, and it wouldn’t take much to fix the issues with this app. - - Update: after the response from buildium I’ve amended my review and adjusted the star rating. If they add the ability to have the payments screen show up first it’ll be 4 stars. If they allow us to set a default sort for the payments screen to be highest balance first it’ll be 5. - Update 2: they fixed an issue I reported in the last release. Very happy with their quick response. Increases my confidence that they’ll address the rest of the issues soon!

Thanks for feedback! We are working on creating the ability to customize the bottom navigation bar. This would give you the option to make the payments screen the first thing you see when you open the app. Stay tuned!

Works for any sized business

I only have a handful of properties, but the ease of access and my ability to clearly communicate with my tenants, is just tremendous with this app and website environment. The app is a great lightweight extension of the larger app, customized for my in site work. It’s great for the tenants to see my taking notes and pictures that they can also add to, in order to make a work order that everyone believes in and can get behind.

DO NOT USE

Five months ago, I sold my properties resulting in me needing to cancel Buildium. I hit the cancellation box and was told that I would no longer be charged. For the past five months I continue to be charged for Buildium. Each month I have called or emailed Buildium to inform them that I’m getting charged still. each time I was told that my account was closed and that I would not be getting charged the following month, but yet I still was. Once again I spoke with a member on the team today telling them my situation and also explaining I can provide evidence of me being charged on my credit card statement and provide emails showing that I was told my account was canceled. I’m still attempting to try to get my account to be fully canceled but she informed me that I would not receive a refund for the past five months because technically my account was “open” even though I’ve been told it was canceled. Apparently there’s a strict no refund charged even if you are getting fully screwed. Extremely disappointed and will never recommend Buildium to my investor connections and clients.
