“There haven’t been many major innovations in the loyalty space recently, so the addition of stocks as a reward currency is definitely welcome. Unlike points and miles, which are almost certain to lose value over time, stocks have the potential to appreciate. Perhaps most excitingly, you don’t need to forgo your usual rewards to earn equity, as Bumped stacks with other loyalty programs. In other words, there’s no reason not to join.” - The Points Guy (1)

Great overall but app is horrible

Not sure how this great company that offers so much for simply buying pretty much the way you do already could have a highly functional website but yet the app is pretty much unusable. It’s that bad. It doesn’t look anything like the pictures of the app for preview on the App Store. I’ve checked several times to make sure I got the right and most recent app. I do. Please fix the app visually and functional wise.

Amazing modern shopping rewards program

I have been a user of Bumped for almost 2 years now. I don’t leave reviews very often if ever. I loved what I saw for a long time- I choose my brand loyalties and then earn as I spent at those brands. I realized I was actually spending more at the brands I selected, so it really helped me build loyalty in those companies I selected. And I love now what I see as the original idea come roaring back!

I wasn’t thrilled when my only option to continue earning stock was via shopping in the app. But I also realize that Bumped is trying to operate in a world where someone has to pay for my ongoing spend, and that’s probably a difficult thing to accomplish. If I’m not being charged, someone else is, and I hope it’s the brands where I’m spending.

Well, it seems they have accomplished something- the loyalty categories are back! I now see that the only trade I need to make is to shop every quarter via Bumped to continue to get my loyalty category rewards. I’m happy to do that for getting stock in the companies where I will be loyal. I believe this will help Bumped get more companies to participate if they can make money off the shopping rewards, so I’m very hopeful this will just continue to get better and better.

Now, if only those brands would make me feel special about being an actual owner…

This app is amazing and idk why it has 4 stars

If you couldn’t tell by the title this app is amazing and I can’t explain to myself how it managed only 4 stars on this platform. The merchants that you can choose from for cashback have a nice variety and are places I visit often so I rack up cashback quickly. The fact that it automatically buys micro stock means you also take advantage of market fluctuations in the long run (it’s suggested you invest small amounts over time to account for market flux). The cash out process is also simple and quick and I’ve been able to link all of my cards/accounts, even the rather obscure ones that other apps usually don’t support. I recommend this app to everyone that ever uses debit/credit cards (everyone). If I could give this app higher than 5 stars, I would.
