Description

Bushel Farm (formerly FarmLogs) gives farmers both a ground-level and big-picture view of their farm’s operational and financial performance. Unlike multiple spreadsheets or messy notebooks, Bushel Farm organizes and centralizes an array of farm records - field maps, rainfall and satellite imagery, scouting notes, equipment, activities and inputs, grain sales and inventories, land agreements, work orders, and more.

Powerful automation within the tool transforms farm records into valuable insights that farmers can use to plan and make decisions on their own or share with their grain buyers, agronomists, bankers, insurance providers, and other trusted farm partners. Insights include: cost of production; marketing position; profitability of grain sales; and profit and loss at the farm, crop, and field level.

Integrations with John Deere® Operations Center and Climate FieldView® reduce the burden of manual entry for farmers, allowing seamless imports of field activities and input data. Farmers also have the ability to share field boundary shapefiles and field activity records from Bushel Farm, electronically rather than manually, for sustainability programs. Bushel’s data permission controls are built into the platform to ensure data privacy and sharing only when properly authorized by Bushel Farm users.

Making better management decisions has never been easier. Download the app today and start a free trial.

So glad I found this

I was looking for a simple rainfall log app after planting when I came across this instead. I had given up on finding a useful farming app a long time ago, but this one is so simple, intuitive, and easy to use (the website too) that I'm glad I happened to find it. The historical rainfall for previous years is nice. It would be great if I could see detailed rainfall graphs in the app like I can on the website (instead of just 24 hrs / week / YTD) along with the soil maps (also website only) and if I could get rain alerts without needing GPS enabled. But still 5 stars!

Love the app, however too expensive for features

Edit: I now cannot say I will continue using this app, apparently it is $30 a month just to be able to map fields. I logged in today to adjust the size of some of my feels that I have lost and gained and now I cannot even edit field size without paying. It had the possibility of being a good app, but $30 a month is outrageous.

I love the app in its free form, the ability to log field records and check in with rain totals all in one place is very handy for me. I would like to see an option to view and manage your storage options for the mobile devices, as I don’t have a computer having to switch back and forth when adding different storage and just to see my overall storage is cumbersome. I do think however that the services that are offered in the premium packages are extremely overpriced. $1200 a year just for satellite imagery and price tracking, when both of those features can be found online for free? I would buy the premium extras if the app were cheaper and even if it had advertisements would be a fair trade. Also wanted to report a bug with iPad usage, whenever you try to update the date of an activity the app just crashes. Has been happening for over a month now. In short, great app that does have issues but definitely needs price reduced to feel even remotely purchasable.

Developer Response ,

Hi henrycountyfarmer, thanks for your thoughts. We want to let you know there is a free version of FarmLogs still called FarmLogs Lite where you can map fields and access all the information you've entered in the past. If this isn't what you're experiencing, then we'd like to help with that, as well as the iPad bug you mentioned. Can you please email us at support@farmlogs.com?

Farmlogs listens

Appreciate the response from Farmlogs anytime I have a question or suggest improvements. They continuously improve the program to keep it user friendly and a valuable farming tool. More and more we’re required by law to document weather conditions for certain activities and Farmlogs does it automatically. I wish the cost was somewhat lower but we feel it’s such a valuable and easy to use tool that we just budget it into our cost of operations.
