Business Mobile Banking 4+

Please add Touch ID to enable access to the app. Right now it requires four different fields to be filled in which makes the user experience terrible (I shudder whenever I have to check my account using this app). All other banks from the largest in the world to the smallest local banks all have Touch ID enabled on their iOS app. Please add Touch ID to this app.

I guess they “fixed” the problem of having to go through the screens of useless verbiage with EVERY SINGLE check deposited by having the app crash when you try to take a check image. At least you don’t waste your time tapping thru five screens for every check.

This seems linked to iOS 12 which means they didn’t test it.

Also, there is no no app-specific support. The developer support link in the App Store goes to Pacific Western’s home page. There doesn’t look to be any support page, ‘submit a problem’ form, support Twitter account, etc.

I work in finance so have dealt with a decent number of banking mobile applications, but this one takes the cake.

The interface isn’t too bad, but you basically need to endorse checks with a sharpie, otherwise the app won’t recognize that it’s endorsed at all.

Also if the endorsement line happens to be in the middle of the check instead of on the right side, the app is too stupid to realize that it’s actually endorsed and can’t be cashed.

And their website is even worse somehow. You’d think that PacWest, with well over a billion in annual revenue, would figure out how to design an app or webpage. Our interns could do better than this for $12 an hour.
