The sad thing about this app was that it worked perfectly the first time I used it. No issues whatsoever with my card or creating an account. But now, whenever I try to log in, the account states that the password is incorrect. I try and reset it and the whole screen turns white and just... stays that way. I’ve waited up to 30 minutes and the app stays frozen. I have to close out of the app in order to fix the issue.I’ve changed my password at least 10 times now, with the same result every time. I’ve tried to create a new account only for the app to tell me that the account linked to my email “still exists”. I’ve even deleted and redownloaded the app. Nothing. It’s the same frozen white screen every time. There’s not even an option for me to purchase an order as a guest (which would 100% circumvent this issue). Look, I get that apps are buggy. I understand this. But as we’re in the middle of a global pandemic which prevents people from ordering food in person, wouldn’t the practical thing to do be to fix the app so that people can still order from the restaurant (and so the employees that work there can still keep their jobs)? Food for thought.
Took me several times to place an order . I thought since I lived close , placing an order for pick up would be nice and convenient. NO. Every time I tried to advance to the next step none of the links would work . I had to exit the app and open it again and reorder all the way from the beginning because I don’t get the same bowl every time . It was annoying . It took me just as long to order as it would have had taken me to drive there . The pages also cut off the top so I could not click on the “crab” for my protein selection since it was cut off . I also had to exit because it cut off the “create your bowl” link as well . It shouldn’t be this hard to order mobile . The point is for convenience and it was NOT AT ALL CONVENIENT.
I haven’t used this app in a bit due to all the glitches and log in screw ups and crashing that I typically go through everytime I order. Got on it tonight and saw that it was updated so I had high hopes. Nope, it’s still terrible. I went to recent orders and it told me that “regular” was not available, however you can’t edit anything on your recent orders so I had to reorder it. I chose a “large” bowl and when I hit “add to order” it again told me that regular was not available. I was unable to order because of this. I never have these problems on any other ordering app but this one I have an issue of one kind of another every time. It’s too bad, I would eat there so much more if it was easy to use.
My thoughts are similar to many of the reviews I’ve read. Good food-horrible app. Normally that wouldn’t be a problem but you are forced to use the app to order food from them The app doesn’t work very well and several times I’ve ended up eating elsewhere because I couldn’t negotiate the app. What doesn’t make sense is why Butterfish doesn’t just get rid of this app and start over. When your app frustrates and angers your customers so much that it is costing you business and good will...why not start over and get it right? That seems pretty obvious.
It is incredibly frustrating to have to enter my email I half dozen times before being allowed to complete an order. I don’t understand why it won’t pre-populate or at least give me the option to one button enter something like that. Is it not compatible with an iPhone? Other apps do it. Also, I had to enter a new credit card, but their credit card screen would freeze every time and not allow me to enter any information. I got frustrated and went to the computer. Who uses computers anyway? Felt like 1990. Be a shortcut! That’s what an app is supposed to do!!
Have had hot and cold experiences with app. Most recently, when I logged on, there was a message at the top “that item is out of stock”. I hadn’t even ordered anything. And the message was there regardless of which location I logged to. I called the store to make sure they were even open. Then deleted and reinstalled the app. Which erases all your previous history. This is the third time I’ve had to reinstall. Hope they get this sorted out or will have to rethink ordering at Butterfish if this continues.
