I REALLY like BYGA

I am a team manager for a girls competitive soccer team, have used other team management apps before, but man, oh man, is this nice. We used BYGA for tryouts, where team parents entered their own registration info via the app, then team managers completed the registration by checking in players at the field by taking their picture and entering their jersey #. Coaches then had the player picture, jersey # and all the checkin info at their finger tips, on their phones, which aided in their confidential evaluations. Practices and games are easy to set up, they can be set up at the club level, or at the team level. Rosters and player availability are both easy to use. Contacting the team is easy, can text, email or push notification. And the support is awesome! We had an odd issue where the league made a change to the schedule, that change flowed through to BYGA’s calendar but some of us team managers did not receive notice of the change. BYGA’s support was all over it and had that issue straighten out quickly. Absolutely the best team management app I have encountered. Highly recommended !

Fantastic app

I’m reviewing this as a parent whose daughter is in her first season of competitive club soccer. I have been using Byga, both on the web and through the app, for a few months now.

I already love Byga in general and the app is a perfect companion to the more full-featured web product. It has the most important pieces I need on the go: a detailed schedule and the ability to read and send messages to the coach and other parents on the team.

The interface is simple (in a good way) and intuitive. I haven’t encountered any bugs or rough edges. Love it!

Updates

I previously wrote a review requesting the ability to emote and Lo and behold, they addressed and updated not long after. Talk about responsiveness.

I am now hoping for another update since the development team here is amazing.

I would like to request the ability to put a “maybe” as an option for game and event availability. There are times where a no doesn’t suffice and it would be useful. Please developers answer this request and all will be perfect! :)

Good news, we released version 2.10 with a revamped chat user experience. We have included chat reactions, search, organized live game Teamcasts, custom chat covers, made chat more accessible from the events, and more. Hope you enjoy the app and the new features and get a chance to update your review once you have used the app for a while.

Followup: while we pride ourselves on building what our users want, unfortunately the "maybe" option is a sticky issue. Coaches have begged us *not* to provide a "maybe" option for availability. (We're looking into ways to allow the option only for those clubs/teams who want it.)
