5 checks a day???
I had hoped to be able to make my church deposits by phone in order to reduce the line due to COVID at the branch bank. But 5 checks a day limit? 25 checks a month? I’d have to make at least 2 deposits per week an would only get halfway through the month. I’ll spend less time standing in line!!
Somehow even worse than the last app
Using the exact same credentials that work on your website doesn’t work with the app. You should just delete this and not offer it.
Lacking support in new app
I have both a personal and a business account with byline. While the personal account change-over left me without access for only 2 days as anticipated, the roll out for business account access is proving to be far from seamless. I contacted tech support the week before the old app access was to end to make sure my access would be ready today because of the notification I received about the changing user ID and such but the person I spoke with seemed ill equipped with the information needed. The process was confusing but I followed all of the steps given to set up the new app in a timely manner. Unfortunately I was unable to access my account and spent hours trying to get through for help. When I finally reached someone I was told that someone would call me back but no one did. I was able to get through again only to be able to leave more messages for a return call. No one called and there is no tech support after regular banking business hours. I’m very disappointed in this transition and that Byline could not set up more support for this app change. I need to make deposits and have legitimate concerns for my account security because my user name generates a different phone number for the authentication process. This is very disconcerting. My confidence in this banking app is very low and I am considering moving my accounts which is too bad since I have been banking with the institution since 2003 when it was North Community bank. I would rather do business with a bank they supports my local community, but if the customer support is this lacking when there was so much time to anticipate the need for it, why should I continue to do my banking here? This is not the first time I have had less than satisfactory support since this bank was acquired by Byline. The service was far superior when they were North Community Bank.
