c.guide is a digital tool designed for the exploration of contemporary Architecture built after 1979.
The principal aims of c.guide are to recognise the excellent works around the world and facilitate collective reflection on current architectural practice as a crucial element in the development of present-day cities. Our will is to generate awareness of the importance of the city, the public space and the Architecture in the life of the citizenry, awakening interest in architecture among people with or without specific training. The open approach of c.guide is intended to foster a broad public debate on the spatial forms with which we are building our current cities, far from any kind disciplinary constriction.
c.guide is a collaborative endeavor with the will to create an open and collaborative imaginary that help us identify contemporary spatial trends taking place both globally and locally. To that end, c.guide proposes the user this tool to explore contemporary architecture while moving around in the city. Complementing this app , the website c.guide allows a more calm research from the laptop.
The user has the opportunity to contribute to the development of the guide and also to create their own personal guide according to their interests. This tool has the will to be continuously renewing itself so it can continue to be useful to reflect on the current time. Simultaneously, It will progressively be expanded to different cities around the world.
