• Although our lens database is extensive already, you can add to it by creating your custom lens series now! Since this will likely reduce the need for Generic Lenses, they have lost their pole position at the very top of the list and can now be found under "G".
• Shooting anamorphic? Setting it up in Cadrage is now less confusing, especially how the aspect ratio is handled. Alexa LF users rejoice!
• We improved our zooming algorithm. Using the arrow buttons will zoom buttery smooth now instead of jerking around. If you prefer using the pinch gesture, that's fine too.
• Fixed a rare yet very pesky bug that could cause the app to crash when opening Settings. You hopefully have never seen it, and with this update, we made sure you never will.

Invaluable Tool for Location Scouting
I have been relying on Cadrage more and more during location scouts and love the flexibility it gives me to test out lenses and angles from several cameras, including use of SpeedBoosters. The export functions are also great for getting a quick and dirty shot list sent out. There is a delay from pressing the shutter or volume keys for me, but since I’m on a 6s I don’t know if it could be a little bit the phone. I’d love to try with a dual camera to see if it returned better quality on long lenses versus straight digital zoom. I’d love to see a more streamlined interface for organizing shots, but the current one is entirely functional, additional cloud services besides Dropbox would also be a nice export option in future.

Thanks for your kind feedback 🙌 We‘re currently working on a major update with lots of new features, so stay tuned!
THE ONE to get.
Having worked and futzed with them all... I can confidently tell you Cadrage flat out slays and renders the others dead. This is not only my fave viewfinder app, but, honestly it’s one of my all time fave apps. A joy to use - let’s you focus on doing what you need to do and makes your shortlists and storyboard creation become effortless. Today I created an entire storyboard for a complex video in a 25m Lyft ride from my phone. In the past, this would have taken an hour or more on desktop. This app is so well designed and made to make our work frictionless, easy and enjoyable. Well done. Developer response to my feature request has been quick and phenomenal as well. That is sayin a lot these days. Highly recommended.

Thank you so much! 🤩
As soon as you can add camera and lens information manually after importing a photo this app will be perfect. Don’t know if this is possible but it seems like an easy feature to add. This is my go to for communicating Shotlists and relevant information to the crew. The reason for requesting that you can manually add camera information is because when outputting a Shotlist with imported images, the PDF reports prints out “unknown camera”. This causes everyone in the crew to bombard the DP saying “I thought we selected the camera?” To which the DP has to explain that this is a limitation of Cadrage. Help! If this gets added this app is a game changer and would be the Tesla of viewfinders.
