Ratings and Reviews
Very good you can take a picture of your food and it will tell you how many calories
It’s very good. I took a picture of strawberries and it told me that it was 110 cal for 16 strawberries that is very good. To lose weight and manage your calorie intake rather you’re on a calorie deficit or trying to gain weight.
Its okay
First of all, when i try to swipe and down for measurement of the food, it starts lagging which is super annoying. I use two tracking apps just to make sure it’s accurate, for the most part it is accurate. Though, one time it said a certain food had a lot of calories. I looked up the food from the company and everywhere else, and it came out to way less. It made me question the accuracy. On my other app which is MyNetDiary, the nutrition facts like the fats in total consumed are completely different in comparison to this app. I’ve used MyNetDiary for a long time and many other people also prefer that app, which means it’s most likely accurate. So this makes me completely question the accuracy to this app. Especially since it’s an Ai.

Thank you for the feedback. Could you please provide us with the photo which was uploaded to the app? We'd like to better understand the issue. You can find our support team at help@steps.app. Thank you!
Basic Tracking Only
It’s important to remember this app just keeps a running daily log of your food calorie, fat, carb intake. It is great if that’s your goal. However, if you are tracking macros and micros for health issues, this app is probably not for you. For example, this app will give you an estimated breakdown of macros for a meal by photo, but scanning a particular brand item, like a marinade, won’t bring up useful or accurate info. So things like sodium may not be tracked accurately. Also, your meals aren’t separated, they just accumulate. There are a slew of better tracking apps if those values are of concern to you. But, for keeping track of an estimated daily calorie or carb intake, this app may work.
Developer Response ,
We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. CalApp is designed for general calorie and macronutrient tracking, and not intended for medical or clinical use. We are constantly working to explore ways to improve the accuracy.
While meals aren’t separated into traditional categories (like breakfast, lunch, dinner), you can adjust the meal time in the app to reflect exactly when you ate. This can help keep your log more organised.
