Calcullo - Calculator Widget 4+

I just started using this calculator and so far it's been amazing! I use it for work purposes and I Love The convenient widget feature and it allows you to calculate big numbers!

I love this caulculator… looks nice, and is not loaded with a bunch of scientific calculator features that I’ll never use. The widget feature, however, is the main reason I purchased it, but there’s a usability problem with it… if you tap a number multiple times in rapid succession in the widget, it opens the app. In other words, if you are trying to calculate 44x7, chances are when you hit that second 4, it’s going to open the app (unless you deliberately wait a half second or so between taps). Perhaps this is intended, but it makes the widget very frustrating to use.

There have been several updates to the app since I originally posted this review, and I excitedly recheck the functionality each time, hoping it’s been fixed, but so far it hasn’t. I’m likely going to uninstall it, and I regret the purchase.

A lot of the calculator apps I have used in the past had the placement of the ‘0’ come before the ‘.’ and ‘+/-‘. When I am using this app, I find myself unconsciously pressing ‘+/-‘ when intending to press ‘0’. If customization is allowed on this app, this will make it an A+ app and appeal to more users. I suggest customizing so that the bottom buttons come in the following order: 0, . , +/- which is the order of frequent usage.
