A crime finder application from the makers of CrimeTime. Designed for legal practitioners by legal practitioners actively working in the field. This is a quick reference tool for looking up most of the California Statutes as they pertain to criminal law.
-Quick description or section number search
-Advanced filter and full text search with results being highlighted in the statute text.
-No network connection required
-Portrait and landscape modes
-Elements of each crime
-Punishment text for each crime
-Easily see the collateral consequences of each crime with descriptions narrowed down to the specific authority text, making it easy to find the justification of each result
This version updates the database with the legislative changes for the 2020 year. It also implements the "sign-in with apple ID" feature. Additionally, there was an additional sex registration field added in anticipation of SB 384 [Effective January 1, 2021].
Note: Drug registration is no longer required per AB 1261.
This version also adds a couple more years worth of holidays into the court date calculator portion of the application.

The Custody Credit and Release Calendar does not work.
I have been a criminal defense attorney for over 32 years & I have used the old CDRom & newer desktop versions of CrimeTime for many years. Crime Finder for the iPad and iPhone are excellent compliments to CrimeTime. The interface and wealth of information are outstanding on the iPad app. In addition to providing sentencing ranges, Crime Finder provides one with the relevant law, collateral consequences, etc.
One suggestion if the limitations on apps permits, it would be great if enhancement & multiple count support could be added. I have already recommended Crime Finder to many of my colleagues and will continue to do so. Keep up the great work.
Very buggy app
Very useful app for criminal practitioners. However, the app is extremely buggy. I have had two problems with it. First, it seems incapable of smoothly transitioning from portrait to landscape mode -- something that's just fundamental to all iOS apps. Second, after paying the subscription fee on my iPad, my iPhone still asks me to pay another subscription fee! Not sure if this is their business plan, or just another bug. I wasn't happy about paying the $20 subscription fee in the first place, but it is well worth it for an app that works. Unfortunately, the app has only gotten worse after they introduced the subscription plan.
