Description

The California Trail Interpretive Center is a museum about the Historical Overland Trail to California. Stretching from Missouri to California, the Trail was used by over 250,000 emigrants between 1841 and 1869. With both indoor and outdoor exhibits, you'll learn about the adventures and trials experienced by these many travelers. This app will help you dig deeper into the stories, artifacts, artwork and primary documents used in the development of the displays. You'll also explore the geography and places along the Trail itself.

This is a must see , free entry stop when visiting Elko, Nevada. Fun for every member of the family. Everything you wanted to learn about our American Pioneer History on the old wagon roads to California and the Gold Fields! Kids love ‘Camp Chores’, building log ranches, dressing up for the trail, and great walking paths. Jump into the wagon in the lobby to see what it might feel like to travel 2,000 miles - camping out and cooking over a campfire. Call 775-738-1849 for information.
