Description

The film noir stealth game. Calvino Noir is the exploratory, sneaking adventure through the 1930s European criminal underworld. Architecture meets Noir as you become unwillingly entangled in a revolutionist plot.

We use Apple's Metal graphics technology to recreate the style of film noir, with it's beautiful high contrast aesthetic to build a world that feels real enough to host the game's dangerous setting.

Acts 2 and 3 are available as in-app purchases.

Inspired by the futuristic dystopian visions of Deus Ex and Blade Runner. Play as a disparate group of last-chancers as they fight for the future of a city sliding slowly into the gutter. Some are broken souls, some are merely damaged - all are fighting to forge a future in an ugly world ruled by those whose hearts are cruel and dark.

Calvino Noir:

- Seven levels splits across three acts.

- Fully voiced, rich mystery plot.

- Stunning visual style inspired by classic film noir cinema.

- Explore a richly detailed and atmospheric world.

- Co-ordinate multiple unique characters with a range of skills.

- Use stealth or brute force to face those that stand in your way.

- Game controller support

Editors’ Notes

Cloaked in shadow, mood, and mystery, Calvino Noir’s 1930s-era European city forms the perfect backdrop for a stealthy adventure. Soft, jazzy music belies the ever-looming danger as you evade guards and conduct heists. The deliciously hardboiled dialogue—constantly reminding you of the town’s corruption—sets a menacing tone. And with three characters to coordinate and switch between, skulking around for secrets offers plenty of challenge.

Calvino Noir

This is an excellent game. Kind of a role playing, puzzle solving detective story, placed in a film noir setting. It is challenging, but does not require reflexes that are too quick (good for us old guys). The only suggestion I have is to allow the player to save “on demand”. I got tired of having to start over and lose all progress every time I got killed. Otherwise, I would rate the game at five stars.

Awesome Noir Game

I love this game! Love the hard work they put into the story line, very interesting! Only a few suggestions: I think the action icons look a bit out of place and could maybe be styled to fit the theme of the game more. Not a fan of the yellow or cyan blue in the dialogue. And maybe have different jazz songs for each chapter. Love the moody feel of the one song that plays throughout the game though. Good job developers!
