Whether you’re a seasoned photographer or someone who’s barely touched a camera, Camera+ 2 will make you love taking photos.
Camera+ 2 is the best and most powerful camera app available. A complete rewrite of the original Camera+ that sold over 14 million copies, Camera+ 2 is better, faster and stronger than ever.
A lot of things have happened in the 8 years since we first released the original Camera+. iPhone cameras have improved dramatically - not only in terms of sheer optical quality, but also in the array of technical and creative tools they provide. Manual controls, RAW capture, depth editing are a few of the capabilities whose presence in a mobile phone was unthinkable just a couple of years ago.
We decided it was time to rebuild Camera+ to prepare for the next 10 years of mobile photography. We rewrote everything from scratch to create a solid and modern foundation on which to incorporate the advances we'll see coming with every new iPhone release. The result of that effort is Camera+ 2, and we are incredibly proud of it. It preserves the personality of the classic app you love, and it will enable us to continue in our mission to provide you with the best and easiest to use tools to express your creativity and personality. We hope you like using Camera+ 2 as much as we loved creating it.
Here are some of the best features in Camera+ 2.
Camera+ 2 supports and adapts to iPhone and iPad. Use the same shooting and editing tools consistently across all your devices, and take advantage of multitasking in iPad. All features, filters and tools are included in your purchase for all platforms - no in-app purchases required.
Photographers that need absolute control over their shots can use Camera+ 2’s advanced manual controls to select the precise settings they need. Shutter speed, ISO and White Balance can be selected using on-screen wheels and controls. In dual-lens devices, you can easily select Wide or Tele depending on your needs. The good thing about our manual controls is that they don't have to be present on-screen if you don't need them, so casual photographers are equally welcome.
RAW Capture and Editing
Enable RAW capture to get the exact image captured by the sensor at its full precision, to get the maximum flexibility while editing. Use our built-in RAW Editor to develop RAW images, or edit them on your computer with the tools you already use.
Depth Capture and Editing
In compatible devices (those with dual cameras, currently the iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8 Plus or iPhone X), a Depth-capture mode is available. When you enable depth capture in Camera+ 2, the depth information is saved alongside the image, and the adjustments in The Lab section of the editor can be selectively applied to distant or close subjects.
Use the Smile mode to allow Camera+ 2 to detect smiles and shoot for you, or the Stabilizer mode to shoot only when your iPhone is steady enough to produce a sharp picture. The Slow Shutter mode provides you with the means to take long exposures, even in daylight. Burst and Timer modes complete our comprehensive offering of shooting modes for specialized purposes.
Best Photo Library Integration
Camera+ 2 editing tools can now be easily used on all the photos in your Photo Library. Switch between the Photo Library and the Lightbox by simply tapping a button. Or use drag and drop gestures on the iPad to copy or share photos. Files and iTunes integration are also available, so you can easily transfer pictures to your computer or other apps.
Faster and More Efficient
All-new editing tools rewritten from scratch take full advantage of the newest image processing technologies of iOS 11. We could discuss this at length but we think it suffices to say that we met our goal to make editing, sharing and exporting faster than ever.
Camera+ and Camera+ 2 have, since their first moments of existence, been about balancing professional features with incredible ease of use. Over the years as iPhone camera technology and features have evolved this philosophy has remained constant and presented us with some unique challenges to view our interface from many different perspectives. In our efforts to continue giving all of our users the best experience possible, we’d like to introduce you to two new presets: Auto and Manual.
Auto mode is a nod to all of you out there who just want the best photo they can take, as quickly as possible, with little fuss. Sometimes it’s easy to miss that special moment when you’re fiddling with a control wheel and this mode strips away all of the distractions, letting you focus on the important thing, your subject. In Auto mode you won’t find buttons to expand into more controls, simply the EV wheel and if you choose to use them touch focus and exposure. Best of all, we use all of the cameras so you don’t have to. When you press the shutter button in Auto mode, we intelligently looks at each camera using criteria like light and zoom levels, and instantly choose the best one for the job.
Manual mode is more or less what we used to call “No Preset”, or the default mode of Camera+ 2. One notable change is that the camera switcher has been moved from inside the preview window to the bottom bar area just to the right of White Balance. All of the manual controls are shown by default in this mode making the option to do so in the menu obsolete. For our more advanced users this just means one less setting to worry about, and fewer taps to get to the perfect shot.
We’ve added a few minor changes and enhancements as well:
In all modes we’ve added more refined support for the third lens in the iPhone 11 Pro. We’ve stepped up our camera switcher game so that you can get to the lens you want in the least number of taps possible.
When you’re browsing your Photo Library from inside Camera+ 2 you can now see at a glance which photos contain depth data whether they’ve been captured in Camera+ 2 or not via the Portrait badge.
And lastly, we’ve squooshed a number of minor bugs too numerous to list here.
As always thanks for your continued support and appreciation. If you’re experiencing any problems with this (or any other update) please don’t hesitate to send us a note via the bug reporter in the menu.

The best out there
This is the best app I've came across that even remotely comes close to having nearly any and every feature you can think of pertaining to a photo app. It literally had everything. I wish there were more how to videos with more detailed instructions and explanations as to what each feature is. If you're an experiences photographer of course you know what all these terms mean but if you're like me anda beginner, it can be intimating at times trying to learn what everything is and how it works. That's the reason I gave it 4 stars only due to the small lack of explanations on things. True you do have how to videos, I just only request more details of the videos but thanks you for coming up with an app that has it all. The best part,it's AFFORDABLE!! For the tiny tiny cost of the app...you can't go eornv.
Same issues as previous app but now slower
Bought the new app hoping that if they released an entirely new app, at cost, maybe they finally fixed the one feature that makes the app interesting which is shooting & editing in RAW. Unfortunately this app suffers from the exact same issue the previous one did, that of blurry unusable photos (this is post-patch that claims it was fixed) if you choose RAW (on iphoneX). Did multiple tests and it’s definitely an app issue as both the HEIF image are blurry when you turn on RAW, soon as you disable you get sharp photos. From my testing it looks to be a processing issue, which brings up the new issue with this app, that of being frustratingly slow! Moving between elements of the app, switching shooting modes, all are so slow and clunky it makes the app a pain to use. Having paid for both versions now, My take is it is not worth the money to 1.not get reliable use of he advanced features and 2. Slow down your shooting experience over the native iphone camera app.
I really like the fact that photos can be saved to the Lightbox in the app, only. This helps reduce the number of photos saved to my main photo library, because I only have to save the photos I want to keep, instead of all the photos that are out of focus, badly framed or otherwise just not that great. Fewer saved photos in the library means far less time wasted clearing out clutter later on. I take a LOT of photos of stuff that I am selling, & not all of them get used. Being able to do the editing within the app and then save the photo is a real time saver. The only missing feature is one that I would really like to have: a tool to edit out blemishes, such as specks of dust on a white background or on the surface of something I’ve photographed.
