A bit confusing, but works!
I initially had problems getting sound to record from my firewire camera - the video would record, the VU bar would pulse, but no sound on the output video. Then I found that setting the audio source to "built-in input" intead of the actual firewire device caused sound to work correctly!
VERY non-intuitive, but now that its working, I'm happy. Beats Apple's buggy Quicktime 10 that crashes when I try to record video...
Works well but...
This app works well. However, I didn't give it five stars for one single reason. After you set the app up exactly like you want it there's no way to save those settings as default. Or even better, save several settings to access them later. That would make it a perfect 5 stars!
It’s creation clearly shows!
It has all the basics and it won’t do what Photo Booth was designed for, create horrible faces of your bosses or your own if you’re the boss. But it does a lot and it replaces Photo Booth that won’t open anymore on my "clinging on to it’s life" 2009 MacBookPro.
