"Canabalt is pure genius."
Escape the destruction of your city with just one button! The game that popularized the infinite runner genre is back with new game modes and support for every dang phone and tablet thingy!

"This "daring escape" platformer is simply beautiful and beautifully simple." -Kotaku

"It's going to be quite some time before you find something so simple so thrilling again." -Offworld

"Canabalt is actually much more intense than you'd assume of a game which requires a single finger to play." -GameSpy

Play any of the 8 new game modes with one or two players, dash across rooftops with four different runners, or just chase that high score in the classic futile race for survival.

"It's all very lovely and full of poignant subtext. And awesomeness. Canabalt is a prime example of a simple idea executed extremely well." -JayIsGames

"I have never seen a concept so richly and successfully realized in such a simple yet stunningly complete form. Canabalt represents the power and potential of small independent games."

"Music is another component that is just perfect - it enhances the strange and unsettling setting of the game and also gives a sense of speed with a hint of hope that quick feet might be the salvation to the horror."

Editors’ Choice

Race through a collapsing city in a game that helped launch the infinite runner genre. From its gorgeous music to its searing imagery—exploding windows, falling buildings—Canabalt overflows with style and atmosphere. Surviving even a single minute requires split-second reflexes and a whole lot of luck. Plus, after years of updates—including all-new modes like shared-screen multiplayer—this already epic game has been polished to perfection.

A classic from my childhood... but

Don’t get me wrong, I love this game. It’s addictive, fun, and has great atmosphere. But there are things that could be fixed.

I wish that you could turn off the music, I like to play my games while listening to podcasts or audiobooks.

Maybe a character selector would be nice. I would like to play as the original guy, but now I have to cycle through three other people to get to him. I’m not saying that I don’t want to play as them, but a choice would be nice.

A full screen option. That’s it.

All of these problems are very minor, in all I think it’s a great game and I’d recommend it to anyone the fan of games like this.

Slight Visual Glitch

First things first I LOVE this game, but there is a slight visual glitch I noticed during gameplay.
I was playing the Invasion game mode for a while and started noticing that the building to the right of the huge spikey thing just suddenly appeared out of the corner of my eye. I looked again, making sure that it really happened, and sure enough, it did. I am just writing this review to inform you. Awesome game though😀
