Not able to find saved form!
After filling it out, I can not find the confirmation number!
Developer Response ,
Hello! Once you submit your travel information within 48 hours before your departure date and time, the confirmation number will immediately display underneath your submission summary. After you leave the app, you can find your confirmation number again by clicking the prompt at the top of the main screen which says “View your Entry into Canada Code.” Please email email@example.com if you cannot find it there.
The app is OK, however the authorities involved are still not always aware of its existence.
On landing in Canada this week, we were held in the plane for a long time while someone slowly walked a stack of paper forms to the plane. CBSA insisted the paper form be filled out on the plane.
Of course, the whole point of this app is to skip the paper form. And it does all the data entry, allowing CBSA to process it immediately.
If only the branch of the CBSA who does IT would coordinate with the the branch of the CBSA who work the airport arrivals, explaining that the app replaces the need for the paper.
If this is the level of organization of those in charge, I’m terrified.
TL;DR - app works but you may end up forced to wait a long time and fill out a paper copy anyway.
No home option/menu/button
There are screens that do not allow you to go back “home”. You get stuck in between if you do not want to continue.
