Description

Enjoy larger cards and play comfortably in portrait mode or landscape mode!

Hand and Foot is a Canasta variant involving three to six decks. The number of decks used is typically one more than the number of players. You need to pick up the Foot and have one natural and one mixed Canasta to go out. Red threes are valued 500 points, always against you.
When you pick up the pile, you only pick up the top 7 cards. Play and enjoy the best Hand and Foot Canasta!

Best old fashioned card game EVER!

My friends and I used to stay up 1/2 the night at least once a week playing Hand and Foot. Over time they moved, I moved and we all lost touch. I really missed playing this game in person. One day I found this Conecta game and have been addicted all over again. I play daily. The rules are very similar to the game we played. The graphics in this app are very good. I only have a couple of negative critiques: coins - 1. you are assuredly going to buy coins as you cannot earn enough by watching adds when you only get 50 coins per day when the minimum buy in is 500, 2. Sometimes it feels like the draws are not random, like the algorithm is designed to make the hands go longer. All in all, this app has put an old favorite right on my tablet and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you.

Hello, we are so happy to read your review! Thank you! If you haven't already you could invite the friends you used to play Hand and Foot with, and play on the app together! We assure you the deals are random, but we are working on other table options so that players can choose different ways the cards get dealt, hopefully, this will ease that feeling. Thank you for your review and we hope you get to reconnect with your friends playing Hand and Foot again!

Terrible App

Update: the app is still terrible. They said they were working on a way to have no ads, and they come up with charging for monthly subscriptions. But, even if you buy in to that, you still have to purchase coins to play! If you run out of coins, you can earn 50 by-you guessed it- watching an ad every 24 hours. 50 coins per day. It takes a minimum of 500 to play a single game. And forget the “guaranteed random dealing.” This is so predictable that I know exactly which cards will come next. Don’t waste your time!

I love this game, but this app is clearly skewed. First off, you have to buy credits to play. But, then, after every game, you have to sit through FULL ads. That is super annoying. Secondly, the rating system is totally off. Players are rated A through E with the top being A. Players create their own tables, but E players can only play on E rated tables. A players can play any level. So essentially, the “better” a player is, the more they can choose to play “worse” opponents. This gives almost zero chance for new players to level up, as newer players are rated E. And most of the players in the E tables are A players…hmm…. The graphics are good, and this could be a great app, but the dealing is definitely not random. This game is absolutely one-sided.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for sharing your concerns, and we appreciate your detailed feedback. We understand that ads can be frustrating, which is why we introduced subscription options specifically to remove ads from the gameplay experience. Regarding the purchase of coins, subscriptions do not cover this as they are separate, and we've maintained rewarded ads as a benefit for players who choose not to purchase coins. Additionally, if players find themselves without enough credits to play a game, they should be able to get a free game per day.

Regarding your experience with card dealing, please rest assured that our system is designed to ensure fairness and randomness. Sometimes, the nature of probability can result in sequences that might seem predictable, but these are statistically random over a large number of games.

In terms of the rating system, we use an ELO-based system, similar to that used in chess. Players start at level C and can progress or regress based on their game outcomes. Higher-level (A) players earn fewer points for winning against lower-level (E) players, which maintains balance. Conversely, an E level player winning against an A level player will gain more points, rewarding their skill and progress. You can find more details about our ranking system here: https://conectagamesblog.wordpress.com/2022/11/22/scoring/.

We are constantly evaluating player feedback and looking into ways to enhance the gaming experience, including the possibility of adjusting access to game tables based on player levels for more tailored gameplay. We value your input as it helps us to improve and refine our game.

Fun, great format,..but unfair

2stars only because of great graphics and awesome format, but otherwise, just feel ripped off :(. I have played hand and foot for over 30 years and was so excited to see it here! I spent $15, thought it was a great deal. I enjoy the game, really good at it..have even won tournaments. But I realized pretty quickly that this app isn’t for the skilled. It’s dealers choice, and about luck. Game after game I was dealt singles, threes and kept from making canastas. All the while watching pones get perfect cards..game after game. People accuse others of cheating but I don’t see how you can. Sometimes I felt I was playing a bot. It’s great at first, they let you win, actually feel like it’s a game. I don’t care about winning or losing as much as I do about playing a fun, challenging game!. You have that at first, but soon after you go from 100,000 tokens to nothing in no time. So disappointed. $15 isn’t enough for them to at least deal fairly and allow skill to win? I would have purchased more if it was fair and fun, but they aren’t the only app so I will keep searching. I hope to check back again and see better reviews to play again.
