Hangout IRL
Candid is an events and social app that connects people WITHIN MINUTES to hangout IRL (In Real Life).
Life happens: people relocate, couples break up, and friends move away. With remote "work-from-home" trends contributing to the build-up of "the loneliest generation," Candid facilitates IRL meetups through our hangout section with "an Echo." Our users head out within minutes of sending out a ping to meet new friends over a shared hobby. In the Candid Premium Events section, users can sign up for group activities, hosted by individuals, local businesses, and professional hobbyists. We give people the power to host and create events so they can turn passions into side hustles.

1) Profile photo not saving in Edit Screen
2) Chat not leading to chat screen in going and content section
3) Push notification not leading to irl
4) Text in message when payment goes through
5) Video Compression causing problems
6) Photo not fitting in IRL
7) Unable to leave chat
8) Paid event not showing error message of "You have paid for this event"
9) Changed order of events and hangouts in main screen
10) Updated count of going/likes when clicked on icon.

Refreshing! Revolutionizing!
I think this app is the closest thing to social media dating. It’s what Facebook dating failed to create. The format is very refreshing. There are so many dating apps but THIS IS IT! Guys! It’s NOT live speed dating or live video chat/FaceTime, which scares me because I’m afraid to talk to strangers without getting a feel first. It’s video profile dating — they make you do the video when you sign up. It takes more effort but it weeds out hookers asking you to Venmo them. I rather spend the time making a video then wasting the time on scams and fake profiles.
Good App, Good Vibes, One of a Kind
The app provides a refreshing experience, it is the closest thing to using a social media format and TikTok style videos to connect people. I like the focus on experiences and lifestyles. The vibe is great for just making friends and finding interesting local things to do. Design feels modern and trendy, profiles shown to me are relevant to my interests.
Excellent idea
I really love the concept of this app and it really makes me think why wasn’t it made sooner!? The video profiles make me feel more confident when I swipe, it really shows a lot more personality than just pictures.
