Canned Laughter Generator pro for instant laughter sounds of different types for different moments.
What does it do you ask? Well, it generates canned laughter which gives the illusion something is funny and is often used in un-funny TV sit-coms.
There are different styles of laughing sounds for almost any occasion, from minor chuckles (or dad jokes) to great gags and finally to huge rounds of applause for your amazing and stupendously funny stories.
You also have a small selection of additional sounds.
Plus! When you have finished your gags and you are leaving the room you can choose a crowd applause sound for your exit.
Each time you press the button will choose randomly from a selection of that style. There are between 5 and 10 of each style. They will never play the same one twice in a row either making it sound more natural

Better now

OK, so I went back and tried it again and it makes the sounds now. But as you can see the buttons are gray so they appear to be grayed out. I didn’t have my phone on mute, but maybe the app defaults to mute mode or something. I had a similar problem to someone else, I needed canned laughter in a hurry for a talent show, and this didn’t work and I didn’t have time to mess with it. And when it doesn’t work there is no help or anything to indicate what to do.

More laughs than it appears

I first rated this 3 stars because with only a few buttons, it looked like this app didn’t have very many laugh sounds. Took me a while to realize that each button gives you several variations of laughs based on the general type of laugh you want. (Also, you can’t have your phone on silent for this to work.) Excellent concept, it’s just not totally obvious how it works.

The mute button has given me some bad reviews and I should try to have an alert for that.

Terrible. It doesn’t work

This will only generate sorrow. The thing doesn’t work. Shame on the shoddy developers, and shame on me for buying it.
Save your money and give this a pass.

Update: it seems the mute (ringer turned off button) has an affect on this.
When it works it is great. The mute button thing needs to be addressed though.
I regret being so angry in my first review, but I downloaded this for a show, and when it didn’t work it was infuriating.
