Ratings and Reviews
I love Cap Fed and I do most of my financial business with them. The app’s a must have for mobile banking. BUT the most recent update has created some annoying glitches I wish they would fix. No. 1 glitch: Touch ID does not work reliably and I have to enter my password about every third time I log on.
No. 2 glitch: every single time I log on I have to clear a screen introducing a new feature of the app. Some of these I’m not interested in so I’ve dismissed. They cycle back. Some of these I’ve read and they cycle back. This has been going on for months! Please make it stop
At some point, glitch no 1 went away. Chops. But the latest update has re-introduced it. I cannot log in using facial recognition but rather must enter my long password every. Single. Time. I. Log. In. Daily.
It does look like the latest update FINALLY fixed glitch no 2. Why did that take year? Will it return with the next update?
Does the app programming team even review these reviews?
It’s frustrating that I can’t see pending transactions. My old bank showed what was waiting to be withdrawn or deposited into my checking account which was really cool. Helped me keep track of things easier. This app however only shows transactions after they’ve gone through, and only lets you see the past 3 months. I have to hunt up my statements to see anything further back than 3 months. I wish the app offered more in the way of viewing transactions.
Most Inconvenient App
This is by far the most inconvenient app I have ever used. The first time my Face ID doesn’t recognize me, I get locked out of my account completely. Not even my password on their website will work. Never gives you a second chance to change your face, just locked out one try. You then have to go into a bank to reset your password (all the banks are closed due to covid and the drive thru wont do it). This is probably the 5th time its happened since they released it and Im done. I will just login through their website WHENEVER I get my account unlocked. Fingers crossed no one is using my card number during this time.
