Send yourself a quick note with just one tap. It's simple, reliable and really fast.

“If you're looking for something to capture everything you need to remember (and capture it quickly), I highly recommend picking up Captio” - The Unofficial Apple Weblog

“If you need to send photos or screenshots to yourself on a regular basis then Captio will save you quite a bit of time” -

Notes are delivered to your email inbox instantly or stored temporarily on your device while you're offline.

Captio is made specifically for capturing an idea or task as fast as possible, with minimum distractions.

Use the share extension to email yourself text, links to web pages and photos from within other apps.

If you configure Captio to use an IMAP account, it puts notes directly into your inbox for the best security and privacy. Without any configuration, Captio sends notes using Amazon's SES mail servers.

Our privacy policy is simple: we do not collect or share personal information.

How do I add photo permission?

Upon trying to attach a photo, an alert saying ‘This app does not have access to your photos or videos. You can enable access in privacy settings’

However, going to privacy settings only allows me to see the apps that have already requested and been granted access, not the option to add new apps. I also went to captio’s settings but the option isn’t there either. Otherwise loving the app, but help!

My most used app, finally updated!

I rarely write ‘reviews’ but just wanted to say that I’ve used Captio for years and years to send “notes to self” all day, every day—it’s one of the 4 apps I have on my home screen shelf at the bottom (along with Messages, Mail, and Phone)—BUT, I was assuming it would probably stop working one of these days, as it seemed obvious that it wasn’t being updated anymore—e.g. it was still sized to the iPhone 5 screen, the “Send” text in the sharesheet disappeared, etc.

It’s finally been updated (after 6 years, according to the version history) and still works great! Many thanks to the developer!!

Wouldn't Want an iPhone Without It!

There is absolutely no faster way for me to capture notes to OmniFocus. Captio launches quickly, the keyboard is ready for typing, and a single tap quickly sends the email. It's faster to use this and OF's Mail Drop feature than to open OmniFocus itself. Faster by far.

The formatting options are minimal, but enough to customize for any particular use.

Like others have said, this is an extremely simple app, but it can easily be the one you use most. It has a permanent home in the bottom left corner of my iPhone.
