Really wanted it to work~

Got this and tried to use the caption feature. It was quick and had lots of different options for subtitles.

However, the timing was off and everytime I tried fixing the timing and getting it right. FCP kept crashing. It rarely crashes.. But while using this plug in, it kept on crashing over and over as I was trying to edit. Did all the updates, restarted my computer but still no luck.

I use a Mac Studio with an m2 ultra chip.

Used to be Good

This app continues to deteriorate with each so-called 'update' and fix. Firstly, the latest update I installed has significantly complicated the process of importing text files into Final Cut. Since the developers began implementing grammar rules, the app constantly splits words with apostrophes and substitutes entirely different words. Here are some examples from today: 'Broad' as 'rust,' 'Bright' as 'drive,' 'Ukraine' as 'You Crane,' 'Uruguay' as 'You ’re a guy' (yes with an extra space), and 'Octo' as 'Opt in.' Even words like 'I’ve' are inexplicably split by the apostrophe, resulting in 'I ‘ve.' The list of issues goes on and on.
Word timing has also become unreasonably inaccurate. In the past, the process was simple: you'd press 'generate,' receive a message, click 'continue,' and then copy and paste the words. Timing was consistently precise. However, due to the word splitting and incorrect word usage, I now have to manually readjust where the text appears in EVERY SINGLE CUT.
I've been using this software for over a year, nearly every day, but I can no longer, in good faith, recommend this app to someone. A year ago, I would have endorsed it, but it seems the developers are overwhelmed with the complexities they're attempting to add. The app was a winner when it was simple. All I want are Uppercase, Lowercase, and Propercase options, along with font choices, color options, and outline options. THAT’S IT. The app is now ruined and over complicated.

I just used it for a one min video and worked great!

The negative reviews scared me, but in know after a few updates things can change. It is a bit of a learning curve but the tutorial on YT and the one built into the app helped alot. I do wish I could move the "classic" subtitles up or down a bit. I don't need the "title" subtitles yet, these are for more like IG post where you want that modern subtitle feel. I do love how it keeps your settings the same if you redo a project over multiple times in one sitting. It took me 7-8 tries to get what I needed and that was simple basic ST for a corp client. Now I can easily add ST in 30-60 seconds. Again it's not pretty and won't look super clean on your timeline but it saved me so much time.
