CaptureAudio was the ultimate upgrade to your voice memos and recordings… We now introduce CaptureAudio & Notes!
Universal support for Audio Recordings with precise time marking using our heralded Flags system, and you are now able to enter typed text notes independent of audio recording. Delivering much greater levels of efficiency and productivity when you record important lectures, meetings and other events, CaptureAudio & Notes incorporates the sophisticated marking system and text notes to audio recordings. Simple to use, yet very powerful. If you use your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch for recording, you need CaptureAudio & Notes!
While recording, a simple tap allows you to quickly and easily mark significant points with audio markers called "Flags". There are two standard flag sets for business and education users, with Flags such as "Urgent", “Listen”, “Research”, and "Test Item". If the standard Flags don’t suit your needs, you can create your own custom flag sets with names and icons that make sense to you. During playback, you’ll see the Flag markers and can immediately start playing from those moments of the recording. Jump to the most important information quickly and easily!
CaptureAudio users can now sync across multiple devices using Dropbox Sync. Once the Dropbox Sync has been established, CaptureAudio keeps track of the changes, and updates the devices both ways to keep everything up to date; Audio Recordings, Text Notes, Recording Tags, Custom Flags Sets... all aspects of the sessions are synced between devices.
Gone are the days of disorganized recordings and voice memos with your key points buried in the mix. With CaptureAudio, you can Tag your recordings with keywords. Tag with a client name, particular class or activity... And to added to the great CaptureAudio features, we've added Folders & Nested Folders to keep your recordings organized the way you think.
Students, Journalists, Project Managers, Home Owners, Physicians, Recruiters…the list goes on! Thousands of users have successfully added CaptureAudio to their productivity suite. Ratings and Reviews
Good memo app
I like this app a lot. I've used it to save voicemails that were important to me, as well as to quickly capture song ideas before I forget them, which I go back and listen to later. That feature alone makes it extremely useful. If you're recording lectures or other dictation you can add bookmarks to important points to help return to those spots quickly. That's pretty neat. And you have the option to record in high-quality or a lower quality, which uses less storage space. You can also neatly organize your content by creating folders.
It uses date and time as a default file name but you can rename the file to something more meaningful. I like that you can also attach a text description, transcription or notes to the recording, although I noticed that sometimes it did not save my text notes and I had to retype them — a minor glitch. It will also sync with iTunes storage or DropBox, and you can back up and restore all of your content. Overall a pretty good app for storing dictation and other sound files that you create.
One warning: On the day I purchased it, the app was listed in the Apple App Store for $2.50; but when the email invoice arrived from Apple about 4 days later, I was billed for $2.99 + tax. There was no explanation for the difference in price.
I’m just getting into the app and have not discovered any issues. Actually it’s kinda fun. I just need some practice. But I wish for a feature and I think this app might be able to do it. I need Folders. Not some “secret” folder, I need 5 folders. I inspect property conditions which means that I’m reporting on a verity of systems. It would be nice if the app had folders like an Olympus digital recorder. Then when I’m writing my reports I could go back to a specific folder for recall without jumping around from flag to flag. I’m not aware of any recording app that has this feature. I’m sure other inspectors could use a folder feature in their recording apps. Just a thought, thank you.
Simple tool to streamline video production
I have always been looking for a simple way to flag important moments while filming interviews. This makes it easy to mark those times in an unobtrusive way while conducting the interview. It is a huge time saver when I have to back and edit the video together.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
