Car Timer was built to help you time the acceleration and the top speed of your car.
The app provides the option to have the timer in a 0-100km/h / 0-60mph mode or in a 0-50km/h / 0-30mph, have it record the top speed in km/h or mph, or a completely custom run that you set, meaning that no matter where you are and no matter what car you have, you can always rely on the Car Timer to track your car's performance.
And now, the app can even track 1/4 or 1/8 mile (0-400m or 0-200m) runs, making Car Timer one of the most complete app of its kind on the Store today!
Inside the app, there is an option to share your results so that you can show your friends just how fast your car is. For computing the precise time it takes your car to achieve the required speed, the app uses some clever techniques to estimate just when the speed is reached, as the GPS is only providing updates about the speed about once a second once you start moving.
Always obey the existing traffic rules and follow the posted signs!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who makes it possible for the app to keep growing.
In this update:
• Braking measurements are now available, allowing you to measure how quickly you car stops from a speed that you set; while I worked extensively to bring this feature, I am aware that things might not be perfect, so if you’ve got any feedback, please do not hesitate to get in touch;
• Fixed a bug during the first app run, which was preventing the welcome screen from closing in some cases;
• Fixed a bug that was stopping the first run measurement, after tapping start, while waiting for the location permission to be provided, resulting in a confusing experience;
• Lots of other bugs fixes;
• Preparing the app for further improvements, which will be launched soon.

Ratings and Reviews
Not for fast vehicles, just regular
The response isn’t fast enough to pick up fast vehicle speeds. Tested it on my Tesla P100D in ludicrous mode and I was at 80mph before the app even moved. Tested it on my Toyota Sienna minivan and it was pretty close to what a GTech shows for the Sienna. Glad I tried the trial before purchasing.
Gps start does not work.
It has sensitive and less sensitive mode but both didn’t work for me.
