Caramba Switcher is an automatic keyboard layout switcher and autocorrector for English and Russian languages. The app detects which language you're typing in and automatically switches to the correct layout. And if a typo sneaks into a word, the algorithm will fix it. Caramba Switcher saves our users about 6 minutes a day. That's more than three working days a year!
After installation, you'll have access to a free trial period. After that, you can subscribe to an annual auto-renewing license for Caramba Switcher with Family Sharing.
Please note! The app currently only works with standard Russian and English keyboard layouts.

Caramba Switcher Features

• Auto-switching keyboard layout — for Russian and English. This option can be turned off if you prefer to switch manually.
• Typo correction — for Russian and English. Corrects typos only when 100% confident the correction is helpful.
• Double Shift — manually fix the layout of the word you just typed. You can also select text and press Double Shift to switch it to the correct language.
• Single Shift — change the current active layout with a single press of Shift. This option can be used to replace the default hotkeys in macOS.
• Left Shift + Right Shift — you can temporarily disable auto-switching and turn it back on by pressing the left and right Shift keys simultaneously. Works only with Russian and English.
• FIxing DOuble CApitals — automatically corrects cases like "WOrld" → "World," "HEllo" → "Hello."
• Creating custom rules — if a word you typed was switched incorrectly, delete it with Backspace and type it again — an exception will be created automatically. You can also edit the custom dictionary in the app settings.
• Passwords — if you're typing a password, captcha, or abbreviation that contains a mix of lowercase letters, uppercase letters, numbers, and symbols, it will automatically switch to Latin characters.
• Programming and gaming — Caramba Switcher knows which apps don't need auto-switching. If you're in a coding environment or playing a game, auto-switching is temporarily disabled. Caramba Switcher recognizes nearly all popular apps by default. You can place any game we don't know about into the Games folder, and auto-switching will be disabled for it!

1. Extremely annoying that app prevents shutdown and asks if I want to quit the app when I power down my mac. Why? so 90-sh, so windows-ish2. If I had something typed in a spotligh search earlier and when I open the spotlight again via hotkey, caramba converts whatever was there. I believe it should not do that.
Buggy, not enough config, bad support

There is no way to configure for not converting after pressing Enter (creates a huge nuisance in the world of messengers - it constantly converts the last word AND sends it immediately).No way to make it register an exception - it registers when it wants, but sometimes it keeps converting the same word.Developer was rude when responding to polite feedback, not willing to fix or explain. His answer was "100 people want 100 different settings, should I implement them all?". Well duh, it's paid software, not free! At least be nice and explain.

Not working well on latest macOS
Open in status bar

Add an option to ALWAYS open app in status bar. Now it opens in dock if you try to open it again if already open, which happens e.g. if you block and unblock your laptop. Extremely annoying.
• Revised the rules for toggling the case of words typed in all caps.
• Reworked the rules for abbreviations that contain numbers! To do this, we used statistical methods.
• Yoficator. If you'd rather not use the letter ё in a last name or title, just add that word to your exceptions!
