Terrible customer service
Oct 2019: Well the terrible customer service continues, see below, after finally getting my money back from my credit card and never being contacted by cardpool. I continued to use the service and just stopped buying gift cards over $25. Now I have a new problem that customer service is ignoring. I no longer have access to my digital wallet so now all the cards I have bought are no longer accessible to use. Once again they are ignoring my emails for a fix. I think this time there is enough money involved I will have to involve lawyers.
April 2019: Like many of the reviews I ordered a $100 gift card for Chili’s and a $75 gift card for Starbucks and when I received them in my Cardpool Wallet they were both empty. After many attempts to email cardpool I finally gave up and reported them as fraud to my credit card. Use this app at your own risk.
“Instant” delivery is not so instant.
I’ve successfully used this app for a couple of years now. They must have had some management changes recently because I’ve read a lot of bad reviews on here about bad experiences and no response from customer service. I’ve had to have an issue resolved back in the spring and they did get back with me and it was taken care of.
Fast forward to now..
I purchased a digital Starbucks card a couple of weeks ago to upload to my Starbucks app and order while I was there. I’ve always had my digital cards immediately hit my wallet and could use them while there to pay. Not this time. It showed up a day later. So I ended up paying out regular for my order that day. I emailed customer service and they never responded. Maybe it was a fluke? I mean I’ve been using it for a couple of years and have always had good experiences with it. Always had instant delivery until that one time.
So, I purchased a gift card last night to send to my brother for his birthday. Still don’t have it. Sad to say, reading the other reviews saying that they are unreliable, after this card is finally delivered, I will be deleting my app. No longer trustworthy and not worth the risk. And if I can’t get my digital cards delivered instantly, they are of no use to me.
So long Cardpool, you were good for a time.

Use with caution NOT INSTANT DELIVERY
This is a great way to save money but do not trust the “instant delivery.” I bought Ticketmaster gift cards advertised as instant delivery. I was planning on using them for a concert that was about to go on sale. These gift cards were delivered over 24 hours later and needless to say I ended up getting bad seats for the concert because I had to wait. Other gift card service do offer instant delivery that is legit instant. I emailed them asking what was going on. They didn’t reply for a day and when they did they said there was an “inventory error” and did not send one of the three cards I had purchased. They did not charge me for that card, however, there should have been some sort of email advising letting me know they were changing my order. Nope. I emailed customer service because I no longer needed the gift cards since they took so long to deliver. They did not assist me whatsoever. The person I was email Ryan just kept saying “Just a reminder gift cards do not expire have a great day” every single time I emailed them. When I pressed them about the fact they changed my order without my permission they stopped responding. So basically no customer service when there was a problem. Yes you can save money but don’t expect much from them when there is an issue and DO NOT EXPECT INSTANT DELIVERY!!!
