The update also adds an encrypted local ledger, PDF/text/CSV exports, JSON backup and restore, a continuity audit timeline, and clearer non-clinical product boundaries.

Version 1.5 makes Care Cairn's safety boundaries and methods easy to inspect. Open Safety & Sources from Info to review how trend averages, dose checklists, and refill reminders work; follow public caregiver sources; or open the privacy and support pages. Trend cards now label arithmetic summaries as entry averages, and every checklist explains that it mirrors user-entered label or care-plan details. Fresh sample medication records are clearly synthetic and contain no dosage advice.

New in 1.4: a Today's Doses checklist. Tap each scheduled dose to mark it given, see how many are left at a glance on the Today screen, and review the last seven days at a shift change. Your dose status now also appears in the text summary and printable handoff packet, so the next helper knows exactly what has been given. The blood pressure trend now charts systolic and diastolic together, and dark mode is easier to read throughout.

Care Cairn now helps you watch how things are trending, not just write them down. The new Trends tab lets you log simple at-home observations — weight, blood pressure, blood sugar, heart rate, temperature, a comfort rating, or a quick note — and see each one charted over time so a relief caregiver can pick up where you left off. Turn on daily care reminders to get a heads-up the morning a care note is due and a few days before an active medication needs a refill. You choose the lead time, and everything is scheduled privately on your device. Back up everything to one file. Save your care notes, emergency card, medications, and observation log as a single JSON file you can keep safe, move to a new phone, or restore later. As always, Care Cairn stays fully offline with no account, no ads, and no analytics, and it is a personal-organization app for families — not a medical device.
