Thank you for taking an active role in slowing the spread of coronavirus and making a difference in the health of your loved ones and your community.
Care19 is a digital diary that can help you remember where you have been over the last 14 days. If you test positive for COVID-19, it's important to remember where you have been as part of the contact tracing process.
Places you visit can be added manually and, if you enable location services, the app will attempt to auto-detect locations in the background. Our goal would be to automatically capture about half of the places you visit, thus reducing the amount of work needed to maintain the list.
If you test positive for COVID-19, with your permission, this anonymous and confidential data can be shared with the Department of Health to more efficiently identify others with whom you were in contact with. Identifying contacts is key to slowing the spread of coronavirus.
You will not be asked to provide any personally identifiable information within the app. Location data will only be shared with the Department of Health if you consent upon testing positive for COVID-19. This is done by sharing a code number displayed on the “About” section of the app.
Increase user privacy by removing a set of support diagnostics. We will reintroduce this capability in a future release using an "opt-in" model where users can have the option to turn on or off. This data is used for fielding support questions when a user contacts us and asks why their app is not working for them.

I have been using the app for about a month now. The map keeps saving locations I haven’t been to or is just incorrect. Even my home address according to the map is showing a completely different location. One way to better manage places frequently visited it would be helpful if we could add an address in and save it. Because even some of the stores I visit don’t show up. Until the mapping issues can be addressed I strongly urge you to not share this with other states. Maybe you could get with google and be able to link the app mapping to Googles maps or locator. I’m a google traveler and my google maps is constantly clicking every place I go old and new. Something to think about since there maps are more accurate because of the GPS system they use. I’m willing to do whatever I can do to help even if it’s testing something out with the app please feel free to contact me. Thank you for your hard work in this.
It is not working at all!
I down loaded the app the night it was first made available. I got one notice to give the app full access all the time. I did allow this. After several days and visiting our medical facility many times, it hasn’t recorded 1 event. After being an IT person for many years and programming some software, this app is not ready for prime time, let alone to offer this app to other states when it isn’t working correctly.
My wife has her app running, but it is recording lots of inaccurate data, After she visited several places for about an average of 20 minutes, it shows her there for 12 hours or more and at inaccurate locations.
Inaccurate data or having a none working app is NOT good for ND to use for making life decisions.
Developer - please pay attention to the reviews here and FIX this app! It would be a valuable asset for the fight against this virus.
Locations and times are too far off to be helpful.
This has potential to be helpful, but it is way too far off to provide any sort of useful information.
On the average I’ve had my locations off by .5-1.5 miles. Also logging times not even close. It logged an 18 minute stop nearly 2 miles away from where was at, not to mention I was only there for 5-6 minutes max. Sure I drove past the marked location both to go to the pharmacy, and back home. Today it logged a stop for gas and a stop at a clinic 4 blocks away from the gas station as a 36 minute stop at an entirely different location than either of those.
It would be nice to at least add an edit feature so you can move the marker to the correct spot, or split up a stop that was actually multiple stops that were logged as one.
