Missing important functionality that website has

Nice responsive app, feels like the website. A 2-star is a harsh rating given how clean this is but I’m hoping it will get the developers attention so they can address this one small issue.

🐛Bug Report🐛

Description: When visiting my favorites list for a used vehicle, I cannot highlight text to copy from the vehicles details page but I can from the web app. This seems like an easy fix, if you can correct this I will bump up my review. I like to copy/paste the VIN to get additional details about vehicles / quickly find them on the dealers site.

✅Feature Requests - Nice to haves ✅

1) It would be great if I could write notes about a favorited vehicle. I have to export the listings to a spreadsheet for note taking capability which is a shame. It’s very useful when your trying to narrow down a search.

2) It would be great if you had a “not interested” selection so I could forever block certain vehicles from appearing in future searches. I’ve seen this implemented on some realtor sites / apps. It’s a rare but awesome feature.

TRUST & RELIABILITY

I have come to always trust and count on the information that is provided by CF - I use it all of the time to gather facts of a vehicle as much as possible at least at 90% of my decision on a vehicle purchase is influenced by the report from CF - Why you may ask?.. every time I’ve taken my vehicles for service, maintenance and repairs it’s reported to car fax including oil changes at my local service provider. It’s that simple a report is generated and it’s valuable information in order to make a sound and smart decision on buying a car. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND always using CAR FAX if it’s just for information purposes to be more secure in your buying decisions. I have come to rely and trust CAR FAX for their integrity and honesty to provide me the tools to make a very important financial decision.

The App Does its Job Very Effectively!

Prior to having to buy a used car for the first time, I had seen advertisements for Carfax and thus knew about their website. So, when it came time to sell my current car and search for another used car, I turned to Carfax and found their mobile app to be very useful! The search filters and vehicle history reports provided through the Carfax mobile app greatly aided me in my search for a used car. Furthermore, the ability to mark specific vehicle listings that I was interested in, as well as the automatic Carfax recommendations added an extra sense of convenience. I ultimately ended up finding the car I was looking for after researching the vehicles that I was considering, and I’m quite satisfied with my purchase.

the BEST way to find a car

i got in an accident recently, and had to buy a car on my own and i had no idea where to start. i came across Carfax and decided to give it a try. best decision of my life!! my favorite part about carfax is that you can know you are getting a good value for your car, and literally every detail about it, from whether it has bluetooth to the date of the last oil change. also i love all the filters you can put on your search so you can see exactly the type of cars your looking for! carfax helped me find a car that i love! if i ever need to buy a car again i know where i’m going, and i would highly recommend it for ANYONE who is looking for a car.

Great app, one issue

I love this app but there is one issue that needs solving. A few updates ago I’ve noticed when I swipe out of the app in the middle of a car search (for example I go to reply to a text) once I go back to the app the results go back to the top of the list. This is very frustrating as if I’m looking through hundreds of cars and I go to reply to a text I come back and I have to scroll for awhile to get back to where I was on the list. Please fix this, I tried to find a way to report it but apparently it only lets you report purchases that have gone wrong. If you see this email CARFAX please put the app back to the way it was and fix this glitch so I don’t have to scroll for miles to get back to where I was if I click out of the app.

Don’t expect timely access to reports. Waste of $85

Was in the market for a car and wanted vehicle history report. As with all good car deals, they don’t last long, so I needed the report ASAP. I purchased 5 reports for $85. Money was withdrawn immediately but I didn’t have access to reports right away. I emailed customer support to see what the hold-up was. Not only did it take them a week to respond, which I think is unreasonable for customer support, but the reports weren’t accessible for an entire week too. Had to rely on Autochek instead, which provided immediate access to reports. Purchased a car after using Autochek and no longer needed CARFAX, but now I can’t get refunded for the $85 because Apple has identified CARFAX report purchases as a non-refundable purchase. Seems quite convenient for CARFAX. Very disappointed that CARFAX can’t do more to refund my money. Therefore I can not recommend their services and will be going with Autochek in the future.

Good app

Iv been needing a new to me truck and the one iv been wanting is really hard to find with and without the options I want, I really love the amount of search filters and there actually very helpful, especially when your trying to find the perfect truck, I also like how you can sign up for price drop alerts, but there are a few issues that are pretty aggravating such as some of the adds are all blown up where you can’t see any of the information about the vehicle, the other problem is one that I don’t know if Carfax can do anything about or not but it’s really annoying to see a truck listed for sale that was sold a week before ! The problem with the sold trucks still being shown for weeks after they sale is why I only gave 3 stars

Hands Down, the Best

We all know CarFax is great, and because I had a list of priorities when finding a car: no accidents, less than 10 years old, under 45k miles, performance package, manual, one owner, within 150 miles, and under 23k. In that order. I was able to quickly sort through cars using CarFax.

Pro tip: learn everything about the car you want and don’t label any specific trims or options. Often times the dealer won’t actually know what they have because they will just look at a trim and not pay attention to the options. Sometimes they even mislabel the trim!

I used this to find my car. I was able to actually find one where the dealer wasn’t very knowledgeable on the car, so I basically got a performance package for free. They didn’t know it was on there, they only labeled the trim, not paying attention to options. It was ~2k under KBB value, not including the performance package, adding that in I saved almost 5 grand! I did have to end up driving a bit closer to 200 miles though but it was worth it!

I really wish I was able to give 6/5 stars!!!

Sold cars continue to display

I have been using your platform for over three years now. Recently, I have noticed often some ads appear active on your platform. When I approached they dealer. They replied the car isn’t available. Interestingly, at the cost of your platforms reputation, such dealers post ads to catch potential customers in the market. Dealers start getting detail of the customer. Please keep check on such ads. I still don’t want to name the dealership. My purpose in the first place is to post you about my concern and not to malign anyone’s reputation right away. I have a screen shot of an add. Even after communicating with dealership and knowing the car is sold. I notice ad is still appearing.

Excellent App with no hassle

I got this app so I could check out the prices of cars in various places. I want to know what the going rate was for cars that I am interested in and see if there were any vehicles that peaked my interest. I’ve never actually bought off of this site before but the whole purpose of this site is just to show you what’s available out there. They haven’t sold my information to my knowledge and they aren’t pushy for you to buy a car. The only time you ever deal with a sales person is when you want to and you reach out to them. It’s also nice to know that the car that you’re interested in has Carfax’s note of approval.
