HOW TO BECOME A CARPEDM MEMBER

STEP 1. Download the CarpeDM app, create a free profile, and submit an application to join our community. You must be at least 21 years old to become a member and be in the DMV / DC area.

STEP 2. Once submitted, profiles are reviewed for completeness and community fit by one of our matchmakers. If your profile is approved, you are invited to reserve a time to meet your matchmaker.

STEP 3. If you pass your matchmaker video interview, your application will be moved forward to verifications with our trusted partner.

STEP 4. Once verified you’ll be invited to officially become a member.

I don’t have time for wasted dates ...

... And this app prevents time and energy wasted getting ready and going out with someone I don’t have chemistry with. I’m all about efficiency and this just makes dating a lot less sucky.

Innovative dating app!

Carpe DM is a fresh take on dating apps. It gives people a chance to make an authentic connection. Also, I feel safer as a woman to do some fun due diligence via video call before I go out on a date. Love this!

Potential but not there yet

This seems too good to be true because it is. They lure Black women in whether they service your region or not, obtain and keep your photos (even after account deletion request), and they try and hold your profile hostage until you pay a $99 deposit even when they’ve rejected your profile for being out of their region.

Applicants pay a $99 non-refundable fee to interview with a matchmaker, because vetting applicants takes time and energy from our team. We also hold profiles that are not in our service area, to prevent incidents as you mentioned. Lastly, we do not hold any member data hostage. Applicants and members can easily delete their accounts or request data deletion by contacting us from the link in the application.
