- Works with supported Chromecast devices, Fire TV where supported, AirPlay, DLNA/UPnP TVs, browser receivers, and Roku via the CastBrowser receiver channel where available
- Use play, pause, seek, and volume controls where supported
- Choose detected subtitle tracks on supported receivers
- Block popups and redirects while browsing
- Save bookmarks, history, and recent videos
DIRECT CASTING, NOT SCREEN MIRRORING
CastBrowser is built for web video casting. Instead of mirroring your entire iPhone screen, it sends the playable video stream to your TV when the source and receiver support it. That means a cleaner big-screen experience and fewer distractions on your TV.
HOW TO CAST
1. Connect your iPhone and TV to the same Wi-Fi
2. Open a video website in CastBrowser
3. Play a video and tap the cast button
4. Choose your TV or receiver
5. Control playback from your phone
SUPPORTED PLAYBACK
CastBrowser works best with standard web videos and streams, including MP4, HLS, M3U8, and many HTML5 video sources.
Compatibility depends on the video source, network, receiver device, and TV capabilities. Some DRM-protected services, unsupported codecs, paid streaming apps, or device-specific formats may not cast.
CastBrowser does not host or provide video content. Videos are loaded from the original websites you visit.

Thank you so much for your 5-star review! Were sorry to hear that youre unable to seek or rewind in the app. This may depend on the video source or stream format, as some videos don’t allow seeking/rewinding. Could you please contact us at contact@castbrowser.tv and share more details, such as the website or video you were trying to cast and device type? We’ll be happy to check it and help you.
Unusable putting app in the background or closing screen
DWu1599
App can cast Airplay to TV. Casting to LG TV does not work and always fail. When airplaying to TV, moving the app to background or closing phone screen causes app to close in a few minutes (1-3 minutes). This is likely due to iPhone power and resource management closing it. Even though I have no other apps open, the power management decides to close this app. I do notice that using this app and this app alone cause the phone to heat up quite a bit, so it’s understandable it would be forcibly closed when put in the background, but this is a streaming app and this shouldn’t happen. At present, because this app gets forcibly closed in a few minutes of video playback, it is unusable. However, if that is resolved I will restore the rating.
Developer Response
Thank you for the detailed feedback and for taking the time to report these issues. The automatic disconnect problem after a few minutes has been fixed in our latest update, so please update CastBrowser and try again.Regarding direct casting to LG webOS TVs, we are currently waiting for LG to approve our TV app. Once it is available on the LG Content Store, direct webOS casting will be supported. In the meantime, many LG TVs also support other casting protocols such as AirPlay, Chromecast, DLNA, or Roku, depending on the model, and CastBrowser already supports these options.Thank you again for helping us improve CastBrowser.
