CatalApp és una aplicació elaborada per la Plataforma per la Llengua, una organització no governamental que treballa per promoure la llengua catalana arreu dels territoris de parla catalana.
Si estàs cansat d'anar a restaurants, bars, comerços... i que no t'atenguin en català, la CatalApp és la teva eina! Amb la teva implicació, utilitzant la CatalApp, pots contribuir a millorar la situació del català a restaurants, comerços, museus, cinemes i tota mena d'establiments. L’aplicació et permetrà valorar i comentar l’ús que es fa de la llengua catalana en l’atenció oral, escrita i virtual dels comerços i establiments geolocalitzats arreu del domini lingüístic. El funcionament de la CatalApp és senzill i intuïtiu!
Com a consumidors, els catalanoparlants tenim dret de ser atesos en la nostra llengua.

I cannot believe an app can be used to discriminate businesses
Absolutely outrageous app, focused on discriminating businesses depending on the use of one language that is official with the one that gets you an ugly face (Spanish=ugly) Imagine an app to put an ugly face to all the restaurants that in Quebec don’t speak French or English properly, being both official languages. Fascism with a cute face, but fascism.
Discrimination
Using language as a political tool, this app uses language discrimination to rate shops and restaurants.
Discriminating through language use
An app built to give angry faces to shops where for whatever reason the client is not tended to in Catalonian! Nothing to do with the quality of the shop or overall customer service. In one review a client rated the commerce poorly because they had a European citizen in training that spoke Spanish but not Catalonian - in a city where both languages are Co-official!!
It is discriminatory, ideological and imposes the will of a few on many. Should not be allowed on the App Store.
