CBEST app saved my college career
Thank goodness for this app. I was driving myself crazy trying to figure out the CBEST test, and then I found this and it was the missing piece of the puzzle. I could manipulate and modify the practice tests anyway I want. And it breaks down all parts of the math portion and the reading portion of the CBEST. But the best part of it is the study mode that allows you to look up an answer on a practice quiz, not only doesn't tell you which answer is correct, but it also says exactly why it's correct. The only drawback to this app is that it doesn't focus on the writing section. I strongly recommend this to all aspiring teachers who are required to pass the CBEST. Trust me, it will help out a lot!
Not suitable for Math prep
I took the practice exams on here everyday at least 2-3 months prior to my CBEST exam and was getting good scores. I took my CBEST exam and flunked the math portion—almost none of the questions I studied on the app were related to the actual test, although in hindsight I should have used more than just one resource for studying. If you want reading practice the questions their app is great for that, but I suggest you find another means of study for the Math section.
Good Tool, but not the only thing you should use to study.
This app is helpful. But the questions often repeat. Sometimes the questions are not formatted properly (iPhone) so it isn’t always clear how to address the question. I like the app, but use it as just 1 tool of many to study for the CBEST.
