CBS Morning News Quality and Diversity

First of all, thank you Nate for sharing about the CBS morning news app. I attempt to watch the show as often as I can Monday through Friday but at times my schedule prevents me from viewing. Now that you suggested downloading the app and I have, I will be able to get the topics you have covered. I especially enjoyed the show when you, Gayle, and Tony are the cast members. You three appear to set such a great safe, supportive environment for presenting topics with an effervescent spirit, well-informed about the subject matter, passionate about bettering the quality of life for all people, and I could go on. I also like the diversity that is added when you use the other cast members. You all appear to be family! it’s a pleasure to know that your promotion of diversity creates a better America! Thank you for sharing and extenuating the qualities each of you bring!

I love the news content but hate the app

I really value and have a lot of trust in quality content and journalism of CBS News in comparison to the other major networks. This app, however, is awful and is in major need of a complete overhaul. Unlike virtually every other significant news app, there are no options to filter or quickly search for news through organizational sections. The options for streaming programs are nice but not a priority for most people who use news apps to read articles instead of viewing videos. The local news section, literally the only other section, would also benefit from coverage of more cities and specific regions (i.e. maybe people living in northern New Jersey might want more news localized to NJ instead of just being thrown under the NYC umbrella). Even the aesthetics are underwhelming and makes the entire app look unfinished. Disappointing for the network historically referred to as the Tiffany Network. I’m not exactly saying Edward R. Murrow is rolling in his grave (although he actually might be for other reasons) but my god, spruce up the app.

Where’s our southern border?

This is actually a Zero star rating not a five star. As our country deals with the massive invasion of hundreds of thousands of people crossing into our country illegally (like that means they are breaking the law, as in criminals) where is the coverage? CBS news has sadly become a joke. With crime and a host of other problems dividing and destroying our country from within, is it really the time to allow hundreds of thousands more into our country? Where is the coverage? With Covid finally coming under control, is this the time to allow thousands more into our country who logistically can’t be adequately tested or treated? Where is your coverage? How about more coverage on this immediate threat to our country! Where is the honest daily coverage of this threat to our country? Come on CBS, how about an agenda of informing the public of this issue!
