Описание
CBT-i Coach is for people who are engaged in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia with a health provider, or who have experienced symptoms of insomnia and would like to improve their sleep habits. The app will guide you through the process of learning about sleep, developing positive sleep routines, and improving your sleep environment. It provides a structured program that teaches strategies proven to improve sleep and help alleviate symptoms of insomnia.
CBT-i Coach is intended to augment face-to-face care with a healthcare professional. It can be used on its own, but it is not intended to replace therapy for those who need it.
CBT-i Coach is based on the therapy manual, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia in Veterans, by Rachel Manber, Ph.D., Leah Friedman, Ph.D., Colleen Carney, Ph.D., Jack Edinger, Ph.D., Dana Epstein, Ph.D., Patricia Haynes, Ph.D., Wilfred Pigeon, Ph.D. and Allison Siebern, Ph.D. CBT-i has been shown to be efficacious for insomnia for both Veterans and civilians.
CBT-i Coach was a collaborative effort between VA’s National Center for PTSD, Stanford School of Medicine, and DoD’s National Center for Telehealth and Technology.
CBT-i Coach works with the Apple Health app and Fitbit.

great and helpful tool
Easy to use and helped me discover and understand my sleep patterns, giving me insight into my behaviors. With the help of some good study and consulting with a sleep therapist, along with other good health practices, this app assists me in tracking, improving and maintaining good sleep hygiene and better overall health. In my mid to late 50s, I’ve cultivated a more pleasant and less stressful life by giving up more abusive aerobic and anaerobic practices in favor of sustainable stretching and gardening, to include lots of push lawn mowing and weeding, augmented by seasonal yoga, golf, swimming, bicycling and handyman work. The cumulative effect is increased flexibility and decreased wear and tear on tendons, ligaments and cartilage along with lower blood pressure and pulse rate. Quality sleep is a big part of my overall improved health: mental, physical, emotional.
New version is worthless!
I have used this app for a year, and it had some flaws but was helpful. The old version looked old school, but it worked. The new one is awful and full of bugs. Data export no longer works, which makes the app useless: I cannot read charts with no data point and with data all smushed into a tiny screen. When typing into the notes, the app doesn’t automatically capitalize anymore. If you create your notes in a different app and copy/paste, you have to give the app permission to paste EVERY time instead of just allowing it in settings. Saving an entry no longer shows you your sleep stats; you have to search for them instead. The app creates duplicates if you try to edit an entry. All of these are new issues since you tried to fix a perfectly good app! Please fix!!
The one issue I had with the old app is that creating an entry requires that you focus on the sleep issues instead of on good quality sleep. You need to know how many times you wake and for how long, as well as what time you finally awoke. People who struggle with insomnia should not be focusing on these things. Developers, please create a sync to a sleep device that will automatically record this data!
Sleep tracking portion needs major overhaul
I’ve been using this for several months on my own as I’m not affiliated with the VA. I can not set the sleep prescription and when I try it has me waking and going to sleep at 12 am. On the home page I try to set the sleep prescription and am unable as I am told my sleep percentages are too low for the past week and I need to see a provider. We’re told not to look at the time we wake, but this is required for the tracking (how long were you awake). I can only see one week of data on the graph and so am unable to track longer periods of time to show patterns to the person who is trying to help me with sleep. So, the major functions of your ap are flawed.
Being a mental health professional, I find the helps to be a very nice addition, but know that some of them aren’t appropriate for chronic insomnia. Sadly, I’m unable to find a compatible program that would allow we to download/view the sleep tracker information to share with a provider.
This ap needs major work, but is the best free one I’ve found to be available.
