Do you feel stressed, anxious, sad, frustrated, or unmotivated? The centerpiece of cognitive-behavioral therapy is changing your emotions by identifying negative and distorted thinking patterns. With this thought diary, when you're feeling down you can document your negative emotions, analyze flaws in your thinking, and reevaluate your thoughts. It may even help you recognize ways to deal with your negative behaviors and emotions.
According to positive psychology, practicing gratitude and recording positive emotions is important as well. Thought Diary also allows you to keep track of your positive experiences so that you can refer back to them and appreciate the good moments, as well as note down what particular things you're grateful for. This way, you can be more aware and thankful of the positive moments in life.
Thought Diary will help you evaluate, understand, and change your thoughts and feelings. By using this application, you can work to identify your emotions, analyze how and why you're feeling this way, challenge those negative beliefs, change your thinking patterns for future situations, and remember positive experiences. You can use this app as a mood journal, a thought record journal, and a gratitude journal.
Thought Records and Gratitude Journals similar to this app are commonly used in paper form in traditional cognitive-behavioral therapy for a variety of mental health disorders such as clinical depression and anxiety. If you are suffering from a mental health disorder, please consult a mental health professional or healthcare provider.

Great app, bad pricing model
This app is exactly what I need to help me develop good thinking habit and stay positive in my life! I also recommended it to my therapist hoping this can help others.
However I don’t feel right about how the dev prices it. Of course you don’t have to pay for it; the free version has all the basic functionalities for your CBT record, but it happens that I need to share my thought entries with my therapist, which is locked until you pay. You need to pay almost 40 bucks a year for the record export, and this is kinda ridiculous.
I would rather pay upfront for one time cost and that’s it. I hope the dev can reconsider how they charge users for this app. It’s a solid app, and I would like to support a solid developer who really cares about mental health. But so far the pricing is not quite right.
Developer Response ,
Thank you for your feedback. We hope that you and all of our users who need premium features can afford $3 / month (roughly the cost of a cup of coffee and half the price of other similar apps). If this is not possible, please reach out to us via email! :) We're proud to offer nearly all features of this app for free so we can help the most amount of people.
I never feel the need to write reviews, but right now I think I need to. I have only been using this app for a day, and can tell that this will be my safe place to spill my thoughts down feeing and analyze what is going on. I have done CBT in the past, but it’s been hard to make it to my appointments because of my hectic and overwhelming schedule.
If you are struggling with invasive thoughts, anxiety, depression, etc. you need this app!! I feel better after every entry, and I love the check ins that I can do throughout the day. Thank you for creating this app!!
So far so good
I started counseling recently and my counselor wanted me to try a thought log. Since a pen and paper isn’t the most easy thing to access at all times, I wanted to find something for my phone. I’ve used it quite a bit in the last couple of days. It’s easy to use and I can open it up the moment I’m feeling the need to challenge any negative thoughts.
