For the few bucks I spent on this app, and the others in it’s set, I’ve saved hundreds, of not thousands on simple graphic work alone.
Intuitive, forgiving, and also quite adaptive-these apps come well stocked with everything you need to imagine, develop, and utilize your work. Importing into them is simple, as is exporting in many different popular formats.
Can’t say enough good.
Pretty Good, but...
For the most part, I really like the idea of this app. It's easy to use, and with a bit of care, one can get some really good results. However, there are a few things that I would like to see.
First, since most of the fonts and line art that is out there are a bit on the *crisp* side so far as chalk drawing is concerned, it would be nice if it were possible to "erode" the appearance of text, clip art, etc. to make it blend better with the drawing layer.
Second, I have not found a way to adjust the opacity of clip art or photos. There is a nifty little slider at the bottom of the screen, but it only works for the drawing layer, not for anything else. Opacity of text and drawings may be adjusted—why can't the opacity of clip art be adjusted? After all, some of us like to start with a piece of clip art for inspiration. Why can't we make it blend?
Third, how about a multiple select option? I know that to some degree this is a drawing app, but if one has a number of text or clip art objects, it would be nice to be able to select and move them as a group. Moving everything one item at a time is cumbersome.
I have been waiting for a creative art tool like Chalk Signs with the easy to use functionality this app provides. I like the pre-loaded backgrounds and symbols provided. I have fun importing my own photos and creating new images to use as screen savers or to send my wife fun notes. In my opinion, sImply an amazing tool. Thank you!
