Champions of Valhalla ١٢+

The new update is a great change of pace. I like the new enemies and the areas that come with them. My only issues so far is that my gladiator hall is no longer the level it was before (around level 8 or 9). It reset to level 1 while maintaining the same requirements from before. Even though Im sure my units are way above level 1 for the gladiator hall, i can’t use the quick timer which is kind of annoying.

The other thing I noticed has to do with the skills during combat. It seems that both the enemies and allies use their abilities based on how far down the list they are. Meaning that the ones at the top will always use their abilities first when their bar fills up. And it will go down each list until they hit the bottom. This is an issue because the allies and enemies at the bottom have to wait until everyone else uses their skills. This makes it so that the first ones recharge and go again before the last can even cast their first spell. I found that my team is more successful when theres less than 5 in the team because they arent limited by this weird prioritization of skills. The previous system was so much better as skills would activate by the order they would occur rather than having skill priority based on team placement.

This game can be very addicting. The process of collecting gear for your champions is rewarding, and you feel it when one of them dies.

The progress moved forward fairly well until the update on 9/12. Now it’s nearly impossible to get past the 15th level on the normal campaign. I’m not sure why they made it so difficult to move forward with it, it was fine before. They also claim you can now loot enemies, and I’m not seeing it. Overall I think the newest update made the game so much harder that it became worse overall.

Confusing at first, but way better than the overall rating. Needs SOUND. I have 5 stars because of it's replayability but it does need some improvements. Lowering the threshold for the x2 battle speed for one... Needing a lvl 20 base is a grind. There is no options menu anywhere. It would be nice to be able to toggle the "pause" when the heroes used their abilities. It slows down the battles too much. But very nice start! I'll be looking forward to the progression!
