The app does many of the things Slack does, and for our small team's purposes is no less smooth or reliable. My one quibble is that some of us frequently have unreliable/limited connectivity while out in the field, and Chanty must establish a secure connection before it loads -- no support for storing messages in the buffer until connection is established.

Our company evaluated Chanty as a possible replacment to Slack, but the app never worked. Every time the app is opened, it shows a white screen. Chanty's tech support consists of people who barely understand English, but adopt english-sounding names to fool their users. First they suggested reinstalling the app, which works for the very first open, but then the app reverts to a while screen for subsequent opens.Their tech support then promised an app update that would resolve the issue. It took Chanty 3 weeks to release the update, during which time the app was completely unusable. This is unacceptable for a business utility. But even worse, the update did not resolve the issue. In fact, it was worse because the app always opens to a white screen even if deleted and reinstalled.If you're looking for a Slack replacement, this is not it.

Our team loves Chanty. It's simple to use and has some surprising features like a to-do list that Slack doesn't even have. From a small team with far fewer resources than the Salesforce-owned Slack, I'm very impressed. Highly recommend.
