Charlotte’s Table 12+

This is the first time I have reviewed a matching game like this because this game is amazing! I love food and anything food related so when I saw this, I immediately downloaded it. The food drawings look incredibly tasty 🤤 I haven’t seen any glitching/bugs which is great. One more thing that absolutely stands out is the story which is unique and really draws my attention. I honestly drool whenever I play this game. Also, each mission will unlock new items and they have a unique way to display, by putting in a catalog-like newsletter kind of thing. The amount of stars you get out of each round is enough so you don’t have to play too many to finish a mission. There are no ads so far and you only need to pay tools, piggy bank, etc. I highly recommend this if you’re looking for a matching game, I honestly prefer this over candy crush lol

The has amazing game design when being able to customize your own dish! I screenshots a lot of moments from the game because the food was just 😩👌👌👌. Another is the game isn’t too easy and allows you to challenge yourself. I’m level 398 from just 3 days of playing and I’VE NEVER SPENT ANY MONEY❌💵❌💵❌💵. I’ve seen a few comments about wanting to spend money when being stuck on levels but THERE IS A PITY SYSTEM!!! After failing a level like ~5-10 times, the game will give you a GOD LINEUP from beginning to end allowing you to finish the level. So take advantage of the unlimited stamina(♾❤️) when you have it to plow through the harder levels!!

It’s the typical puzzle game you see literally everywhere. And just like any other puzzle game out there it’s difficulty gets ridiculous to a point that you are tempted to spend money. This usually happens around stage 100+
My biggest gripes with the game are (surprising no one) monetization and optimization.

Optimization: I have an iPhone Pro 11 and it’s so poorly optimized that my phone starts burning up and it eats my battery like crazy. I can play half an hour of this game and by the time I’m done I have about 20% battery left… ridiculous.

Monetization: Even though it has quite a few “deals” (it’s all digital goods nothing is a “deal” it’s not real or tangible objects) there’s also a season pass on top of that which costs $8! I would understand $3 or maybe $5 at most but $8? Really? Overwatch 2’s season pass is $10 and it includes way more than this sad excuse for a season pass. Sure, you can say it’s optional but my main issue is that this optional season pass’s offerings are just a rip off for $8 measly dollars. Not worth it at all. I’d love to support the game but not like this. Either offer more for this $8 price tag or lower the price. Don’t be stingy.

Overall I think this game is another shameless cash grab disguised as a cute and wholesome game about love and following your dreams. I love cooking games but not if they’re going to be monetized this way.
