More dependable than airlines notification system!

Just took a 2 weeks vacation through Asia (8 flights total, 4 different airlines) and to our delight- this app notifies gate changes, flight delays etc, wayyyyy before the airlines’ own apps or texts or emails (sometimes we get airlines ‘ alerts AFTER the flight has ended). We like it that all of our flights with different airlines info were in one app, so we could keep track. We also like how up-to-date app was with deleting old flight-over different time zones. We tried TripIt app last big, similar trip and didn’t find it helpful since it didn’t notify in a timely manner — so we were reluctant to rely on this CheckMyTrip (recommended by 2 airlines on this trip) but app was free, so we thought why not. We made an excel sheet of all flight information and found we didn’t need to refer to excel at all .

Excellent 2/3 of the time... Update, downgraded to 1 Star

Update.... Still not working as it should. Sent in an email for round trip Air and another email for hotel at the destination and the same hotel upon return to the originating point. Why does it show as 3 separate trips? I now have one trip showing for the hotel outbound, another trip for the round trip air and yet another trip for the return hotel. I only use this app because my travel company uses it but would like to use it exclusively. Until it is fixed, I’ll continue uses Kayak which works all the time.

Works great on 2 out of 3 trips I have tried to input. For some reason it won't accept one of the trips on United although another trip that was accepted was United as well. This has the makings of a great app. It has all the pertinent information I need concerning my schedules and I really want to like it but unless it can consistently prove accurate. This is the message I get when trying to input one trip: "8104 - We are unable to find this confirmation number. Please validate your entry and try again or contact us for further information. (8104 [1929])" If this worked, I would easily give it 5 stars. I could be that good. Others had the same problem. Please fix!

Check My Trip

Check My Trip is a great place to store my trip schedules. I’m traveling around the world and in Eurasia right now. I have set up a home base in Siem Reap, Cambodia. So many of my trips start from there. It’s really inexpensive there and a lot of people speak English. I have about 10 trips a year and it was very easy to get mixed up with some trips on Orbitz, some on Priceline, and some just booked directly with the assorted Airlines. Now its all conveniently located in one app. Check My Trip, and it’s so easy. Just email you information from each sight and Check My Trip does all of the rest of the organizing for me. Love it!
Now from a very well organized World Traveler.
Best Regards,
Curt Harmon

No customer service

I have a simple question for these folks - how do I set the monetary denomination for activities? Right now it’s showing in euros, even for trips and activities entirely within the US. I’d like to set it to dollars.
The bigger problem is that there is absolutely no way to reach anyone at this company. There is nowhere to put a question, there is no email address, no form to fill out on the app or the website, simply no door to knock on to get any kind of response from anyone within this company. So that’s not so great. A company that completely locks itself out from its users is, in my experience, not going to create a satisfactory user experience.
And I have to do all the monetary calculations by hand it to convert from euros to dollars. Dumb.
Other than that, I haven’t had any trouble with it. I have been able to get my trips to show in the app just fine.

Broken with Today’s Update

Loved the functionality of the previous version, until I was instructed to update today by downloading the ITUNES STORE onto my iPhone. Was able to update the usual way using the App Store, but the new version of the app says my e-mail address (which I have confirmed by looking at both my own records and prior e-mails received from CheckMyTrip), is “invalid.” Went to log in on the website instead, only to find they’ve removed functionality on the web and gone app only. Zero avenues to contact support available on web OR in app when it won’t let me log in, so looks like a negative review here is my only recourse.

CheckMyTrip has great potential to offer up-to-date travel info in an interface that is much better than the airline’s apps, but it’s worse than useless to me if I can’t depend on it working when I need it to. I’m just glad I caught the update (and its current fatal issues) before relying on it during travel.

Pretty cool

I really enjoy using this app. For the most part, it’s user friendly, helps you keep up with your travel necessities. This app is perfect for people who are always on the go and have a hard time remembering what time the flight leaves, did they book a car or hotel for the trip? Etc.
One downfall is when you forward your email confirmation to them to add to your itinerary, it doesn’t always go through. I usually buy my flights through 3rd party venders so I can get a cheap fight and they emails aren’t always the best. So forwarding them to Check My Trip, gets a little challenging. Luckily there’s an option to add it in manually, but doing so won’t give you the awesome updates on your flight like ex: “flight 305 is delayed by 1 hour”.
Also, I’m so sick and tired of Ads. They are anywhere and everywhere (including this app).

Rubbish app. Avoid at all costs!

The app was merely spammy and full of ads in the past; after the ‘update’ it is deprived of features, full of bugs, and still spammy. Doesn’t show anything when offline at foreign airports. That’s when you need the app the most. Trips can’t get deleted in the app once added through the chat bot! I’ve cancelled flights and can’t remove them. When opening the app and swiping through flights, the app jumps to the first flight in the list randomly. Ridiculous programming. Trips can’t be added to calendar any longer. Trips don’t get update when the date for a booking number has changed (changed flight with airline) Today I received five times the same spam notification urging me to book a lounge through the app or their website. This app has become utterly useless, frustrating, and annoying (notification spam). Avoid!

I wouldn't have gotten on my flight if it weren't for this app

I bought last minute tickets from a weird intermediary website because they were a fourth of the price as other airlines. Problem was, their number didn't work and it kept changing as I was trying to contact them. Super sketch. Bottom line, they didn't send me my boarding passes until after my flight. I was not paid to write this review or anything. But if you run into a problem like this download CheckMyTrip so you can actually get your boarding passes before the plane takes off, and never but plane tickets from sites like Opodo or Edreams.

Doesn't work - displays wrong flight information

I forwarded my flight confirmation, and the app initially displayed the flight information correctly. The next time I opened my trip in the app, the app had the wrong date and time for the first leg of my flight - off by almost two months. I closed the app then opened it a few hours later. The flight information was still wrong, just a different wrong. Now the app showed the first leg of my flight as being about 9 hours earlier than it actually is scheduled and the second leg of the flight about 13 hours earlier than it is actually scheduled for - both legs of the flight are wrong, and the flight times overlap by several hours. Yes, i double checked my reservation with the airline on line, and my flights are at the times I originally scheduled. The problem is with the app, and it makes the app useless.

Amazing!

I downloaded this app because the travel agency (Great Value Vacations booked through Groupon) I used suggested I do this in order to track my upcoming trip to Rome. Not only was confirming my vacation extremely easy, looking for and booking activities through the app was amazing! You can get literally everything done in one place. From booking transportation to and from the airport to your hotel, to finding whole city walking tours, this app helps you get it done. I’m sure there are many other deals to find if you look somewhere else, but for first time travelers, I would highly recommend this app for ease, convenience, and a peace of mind.
