Chemgenie is a free mobile application which has been developed by Chemtest to give our clients an efficient, quick, and secure method to order containers, arrange sample collections and schedule testing directly from site. Chemgenie is a truly independent application. It does not require the intervention of office staff in order for testing to be scheduled. Staff on site have instant access to the same information that office staff traditionally have.
Chemgenie is able to provide this level of access because it brings all available client information securely to site. Users now have the ability to browse any quote, or suite, just as traditional office staff have done in the past. When a quote is selected Chemgenie will auto populate numerous fields with the quoted information saving time for site staff. There is inbuilt error checking to prevent site staff adding incompatible testing to samples. Chemgenie provides staff with the ability to scan bar codes. If site staff use Chemtest bar codes then Chemgenie goes one step further by identifying the container type when scanned.
Advanced Chemgenie functionality includes the ability for site staff to schedule a collection. Chemgenie will default to the office address, it will also allow site staff to enter a manual address. Failing that Chemgenie uses advanced Global Positioning System (GPS) software to offer site staff the closest address anywhere on the planet.
When ordering containers Chemgenie offers the same address functionality and takes advantage of the same GPS software. However, Chemgenie is unique in this area in that it counts the number and type of containers used. Instead of site staff recording and counting used containers they are able to get the same information simply by pressing a button.
Chemgenie moves information more efficiently by using the latest technology to quickly, and securely, transfer client information directly from site into our laboratory LIMS without the need for additional paperwork, or help from office staff. It allows clients to spend less time organising samples and containers, and more time on everything else!
