Great little app

I bought this some time ago but never really started to use it until just recently. I can summarize this app with just a few words. It’s challenging, easy to wok it, and fun with a bit of chess humor thrown in for good measure.

Loving it so far

Great way to pass the time with out feeling like your wasting it. Really fun, challenging and mentally stimulating. Barebones of what you need they don’t over crowd the app with themes so you can get strait to the point. With out an in app purchases you might find your self running out of puzzles but this is a perfect time to go back to the beginning and run through them again as most won’t be fresh in your mind so they can still be challenging but more importantly this will help keep you sharp.

So far my only issue with the app is puzzle pack “Hard mode :)” puzzle “Last minute protection” seem to be bugged you goal is to mate in 3 an I see the make in 3 but the app won’t let you move you knight to the appropriate position on your second move. An before you ask yes I’m sure there’s not another way to play it because not only was I unable to see another possibility but just to be sure I tried making every available move on the board 3x just to insure I didn’t miss one an the app just kept telling me they were all wrong

Hey thank you for the good review! It really helps :)
Now i've looked at "Hard mode :)" --> "Last minute protection" and the only good second move with the knight is to capture the rook. The problem with capturing the bishop is pawn to g6 for black which would eventually result in checkmate as well, but it will be in more than 3 moves.

Stockfish (A chess engine) seems to agree:

Let me know if I made any mistake in the analysis at :)

Good pattern recognition trainer

Overall it was good for pattern recognition. But I’m sad that I ran out of puzzles after my second day having it :/

Also, I noticed that in some puzzles, not only does the CPU not play the best move, but the puzzle requires the CPU to blunder to solve it. Most examples consist of taking a piece with the king, or moving out of check when the piece that put them in check could have been taken by another piece.

Developer Response ,

Wow! You played through all puzzles on the second day?! That's amazing!

I'm sorry to hear that some puzzles were not up to par, can you tell me which ones are the ones you had troubles with at I'll be glad to solve it

Also, you're in luck, because I added an update with daily puzzles, so you can't run out anymore :D
